I don't know why 'complete shakespeare' is listed with hamlet, or Narnia separate from the lion the witch and the wardrobe. I think this uses the 100 best books survey done years back, hence stuff like memoirs of a geisha and captain corelli's mandolin which were movies at the time.

Everyone should read more Jane Austen.

And The Da Vinci Code? Really?! Why not a Wizard of Earthsea, or a Song of Ice and Fire?
