The BEER Appreciation Thread!

ETM, most of those beers are very cheap, watery beers. The main people I know of who drink them are alcholics, as you can purchase cases of them for not much $$. :csad: You need to expand your horizons.

Yeah, and I'm cheap. Beer at 8 bucks a pack is expensive. I could be loaded and still say it's expensive. It's what the masses drink.

Eight dollars a 6-pack is expensive? I bought one bottle today that cost $9.

Anyone ever tried it? I'm pretty excited; the name cracked me up:

Unfortunately, if you want good quality beer, you will have to pay a higher price. I don't drink beer to get intoxicated, I drink ones that taste delicious to enjoy what I'm drinking. If you want a cheap buzz, by all means stick with Bud Light, but don't expect to find a beer that you actually enjoy if you aren't willing to explore more.

Granted, not all good beer is expensive. However, you can't go into it expecting all of it to be as cheap as something like Coors.

True statement.

I buy a twelve of Yuengling at twelve, because it makes 'cents' with a good taste. But I will never buy **** beer at a **** price.

I like labatt blue, not great, but decent. If I ever go up in quality and price, it be my little cheap guilty pleasure.

Hmm...trying to think of some inexpensive decent ones for you. I enjoy this one, and it isn't expensive:

It's a fairly light-tasting beer, so you'd probably like it.

If he considers that expensive, we need to send him funds.

Haha, yeah. But I guess it's more expensive than Natty Light? lol

Never heard of that one. Honey though..interesting. Why are cheaper beers the most popular? Is is cause of...the public can afford it? USA has bud light and Canada has labatt blue.

Only thing coors light does right are their NFL ads!

My favorite beer of all time:

So smooth and delicious...

I prefer wheat ales. Has anyone else had these and could you recommend other wheat ales?

Tastes like Fruity Pebbles lol

Obvious answer is obvious. And what Pickles told you earlier, they're common with alcoholics too. They care more about getting slizzard for the least amount of money possible; taste be damned.

I seem to be on a bit of a Jagerbomb thing at the moment but if I'm having beer I usually drink lager, either Fosters or Carlsberg, perhaps sometimes Coors or a Becks Vier. Saying that, i'm probably more of a Cider man though, with Strongbow being the most commonly available in bars so that's normally what I drink. Although I do really like Kopparberg cider, the pear one.. although they have recently brought out a strawberry and lime one which is really nice. Brothers strawberry cider and St. Hellier blueberry cider are 2 other favourites of mine.

My favourite beer though has to be Erdinger, a german white beer. They only really serve it in one bar in my area so I don't have it very often but it tastes lovely and can get you quite merry :woot:

What is everyone's favourite shot to do? My personal fave is sambuca... black if there's a choice.

That looks like heaven in beer form...

You should start sampling different kinds of Hefeweizen. It is a light traditional kind of wheat beer. The original, really.

You may also be interested in Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat, I've always enjoyed that one.

For the falcons game this Sunday, my dad is coming over, he's bringing his 'Nam friends, and were getting about 7 kegs of Bud

We are living in some strange times!

Only just found this thread. Love beer. A bitter & pale ale drinker, a non-larger drinker.
