The Best Part of Waking Up! - The Coffee Thread

I just bought a manual coffee grinder and pour over coffee pitcher. I might breakdown and purchase an electric grinder.

How has that tea topic got more of a response? I much prefer coffee, usually with a shot of syrup if I'm getting a latte out somewhere.

Tea is way more popular, in my own experience. I mean, I like coffee but its definitely a night time drink for me.

Does anyone else like black coffee or am I the sole weirdo?
No, you're not. Black, no sugar for me. Can't drink it any other way.
There's not just one weirdo - apparently. ;)

I don't take sugar, but I do have milk and sweeteners that I'm trying to get off. I do enjoy coffee with oat or hazelnut milk too - not needing any additions for them.

Gives it a slightly different taste, and most coffee shops don't expect you to pay extra for it.

On occasion I can drink it black. I prefer just a little half and half.

The answer to my initial question... Buy the Keurig brand reusable coffee pod. It comes in an enclosure that mimics the pod holder with the needle and you will need to take that one out and put this one in. I had to take off the grey adapter piece for newer models to fit in mine, but it actually works. The coffee tastes normal and I feel like I'm creating much less waste.

Love my morning flat white. I’m lucky to live in a city that has based its whole personality on coffee haha

i do not drink coffee. i've tried it in the past, just don't like the taste

I just finished off the last of my Peets dark roast coffee beans. Starting illy coffee beans tomorrow. I hope they’re a little last robust.

When I started drinking Coffee for real, like maybe 10 years ago, I always had Milk and sugar in it. I have gotten rid of that nasty habit and only drink it black now :cwink:
Mind you, if I am at a café I don't mind ordering in a latte or cappuccino though.

I have been using a grinder along with my Moccamaster for a few years and just recently started buying "special" beans and one of those pour-over kits.

I don’t really like my coffee sweet unless it’s ice cream but this was fun to do.

This makes me laugh. I don't drink coffee and wake up on a dime. I'm sorta like the dogs; I'm either asleep or pretty much wide awake. My ex in Berkeley, uh, wasn't like me. We'd get up and I'd be blabbing away and cooking breakfast; in my normal, midday form. I remember once sitting at the table and telling a joke. Across the table was my partner, with a tightened jaw, squinted eyes, and a full cup of coffee. Lesson learned. LOL.

I never understood why people like drinking something that tastes like dirt.

I stumbled across these recently; Littles Flavour Infused Coffee. Pretty sure I don't need to buy any more coffee from anywhere else now.

I can vouch for the vanilla and chocolate orange ones. I haven't quite got around to trying them all just yet!
