I'd love to see Armie Hammer as Shazam.
And I'd love to see Ashton Kutcher as Shazam
Ashton Kutcher is not a bad actor and has decent comedic chops for the role. I find no reason to be against this casting. But my first choice right now is Hammer.
You never saw Butterfly Effect, did you?Kutcher is not a bad actor? That's news to me. He was awful in everything I've watched with him.
You never saw Butterfly Effect, did you?
Yes, I did. Nothing special there. And it's only one performance.
For example, I've also seen Leaving Las Vegas, one good performance from Nicolas Cage; the rest, much like Kutcher's career, is crap.

You obviously haven't seen Joe, Bad Lietuant or Kick-Ass![]()
Dude who directed is really good, he got a great performance out of a homeless man who'd never acted before and Nic cage and Tye Sheridan. Well Tye is just always good but yeah.I haven't seen Joe, indeed.
LOL guys chill...Theler is easily the best choice for the role...he has the size, charisma and charm needed to play Shazam
He's fits alot of those points and even though this wouldn't require the best actor around, I think Theler is a bit subpar in the acting department. At least from what I've seen of Baby Daddy he's not the best and I could see him easily ham it up with a role like this.
I think most adult actors in their 20s-30s can still recall what it was like to be an 10-12 year old boy.
And when we were kids we used to do that. It's a weird thing to recreate, but we all did it.
Eh, regardless of how it's looked at I think Theler would destroy the role (good destroy) haha
I think Theler could work. Owain Yeoman is a good choice too, imo.
Not sure I agree. Shazam usually looks like a stereotypical square-jawed, clean-cut, barrel-chested 1950s style American ideal, much like Superman. I can't imagine him being 20-something, within that frame.
