As for Billy, if they really are pursuing the director of Lights Out, what about the kid in that movie? Was he any good?

He had really good chemistry with Cavill in Man from Uncle and I think the studio would be wise to bring that to this film as I think it's likely Superman will appear in either the Black Adam standalone or Shazam origin film.

The child actor I would go with for the role of Billy Batson would be Jacob Tremblay

But as for who would play Shazam/Captain Marvel in his adult hero form I would go with Armie Hammer or Kellan Lutz

Armie Hammer or since John Cena is trying to branch out from WWE since he is more based out in Hollywood now the role of Billy Batson/Shazam could be the catalyst for Cena to leave WWE and go to Hollywood permanently
