Because Gwen is going to be relegated to the friend who won't have a big part. Marvel don't want to focus on the romance, they won't want to have Gwen as a major character after Emma's portrayal, and they'll likely go straight to MJ - Gwen isn't going to play a big part in this series I don't think. Moretz would be wasted. She'd be far better playing a more physical role, too.

I disagree, Marvel isn't going to let Stone's portrayal of the character influence what they do with the character. that's like saying that Harry should have minor role because he was played by a different actor in the last series. And Gwen can still play a decent sized role, just not as a love interest.

Harry was nowhere near as well received as Stone's Gwen was. To suddenly rush into another Gwen that has a large role would be a mistake. And what realistically is there going to be for her to do that hasn't been done already? I don't see her ha in. A big enough part to warrant hiring somebody like Moretz.

I didn't care for Stone/Webb's portrayal of the character too much. Gwen can still be portrayed as the happy-go lucky "girl next door" as she was in the earlier comics. less "sassy" and more "bubbly". or depending on what direction MJ takes, they can go the Ultimate Spider-Man-Punk Rock version of the character and have her move in with Peter and become a sister-like figure for him.

I was talking less personality-wise and more story-wise. As a friend, there's only so much you can do with Gwen. I suppose you could pair Gwen and Harry and have Peter jealous but there's only so far you can go with that.

I wanted a specific topic of BC and not have it be overshadowed by SM. Also I couldn't find it.

In hindsight I should have made it more general discussion than concept design... Can I get a name change mods?

I've always like the idea of BC being a little bit older than Pete. Similar to how it was in Spectacular Spider-Man where she was clearly older than him.

Ya a few yrs older. Like if peter is 15 or 16. Cat and probably Betty brant be like 21ish. So that only be 4 to 5 yrs difference. And that isn't that bad.
