Homecoming The Side-Villains: the Shocker and Thinkerer thread!

"Here, now you're the Shocker."

"...aight."

:woot:

Hoping we see both again in future films or even other MCU movies.

They were both a lot of fun and I'd love to see them again. Especially Woodbine, because I NEED a proper Shocker suit on screen!

These guys were very good, especially Woodbine as Shocker. He was very good as a supporting villain working for the Vulture, and he had some nice action scenes using his blasters. I'm glad he didn't die because I'd love to see him again.

Did anyone else like the first Shocker better than the second? I thought he was more interesting and had more personality while the second was kinda dull and wooden.

I always imagined Shocker to be impulsive and unhinged like the first one.

I always like whenever Herman Schulz Shocker (2nd Shocker in the movie) is depicted as cool and collected, a pro who's there to get the job done. Though I do also like the Superior Foes depiction where he's more cowardly as well.

They probably got rid of the first guy because that actor looks too much like Tom Hardy.

In the comics, Shocker tends to be portrayed as simultaneously disciplined and impulsive. He's professional and self-controlled most of the time when it comes to doing his job, but he becomes more hot-tempered and impulsive when things start to go wrong for him, or when someone challenges him seriously. I think the first Shocker (who was also based on Montana of the Enforcers from the comics) was meant to emphasize comic-book Shocker's more tempermental side, while the second Shocker was meant to emphasize comic-book Shocker's more professional, disciplined side.

I didn't find Bokeem Woodbine's Shocker dull at all; I found him to be a fun contrast to Logan Marshall-Green's hot-tempered, impulsive Shocker, with Woodbine playing the Herman Schultz Shocker as the more calm and focused of the two.

The first Shocker was too much of an ******* I think, so they were obviously gonna off him. Woodbine's Shocker is basically a working joe trying to make his money like the comic persona is more in line with. Ultimate Shocker actually had Spider-Man captured and was actually explaining to him why he owed him an actual invoice of money that he lost out on by stopping his crimes, lol. I'm sure we'll see him in the Sinister Six.

I laughed hard as **** at Toomes making fun of the name he gave himself.

"Calling yourself the shocker....I'm the shocker, I'm the shocker, I shock people..what is this, pro wrestling?"

I did not mind the Shocker(s) or Tinkerer at all, just wish we had more of 'em.

Also, I do agree that Jackson was better than Herman.

I liked the calm Shocker better. The scene where he's about to leave the gang gives us a glimpse into how level headed he is. He mentions being on Iron Man's radar and not wanting any piece of that. The dude knows the gangs place in the grand scheme of things.

This, didnt care for the 1st Shocker

I enjoyed both. Schultz was pretty accurate to his classic persona. A cool headed criminal bada**. Like many of you here, I hope to see him again.
