Don't hate me.

But I recently watched these movies recently again and I still enjoy them. I still laugh. I think they are really funny. Am I sick in the head? If so, I don't care. The whole contrast between the innocent Brady family and the "real" world just mixes together so great.

Anyone else appreciate the humor of these two films?

I actually think the first one is a rather under appreciated parody. The funniest person in those films is Gary Cole, what he does is so subtle yet so hilarious.

these movies were great. i love how, in the beginning of the first one, they show modern LA: street gangs, pollution, killer bees, traffic jams, etc..

I remember being very resistant towards watching the first when it came out back in 1995, but loving the hell out of it when my sister rented in for family movie night. As jmc indicated, it's actually a very smart, clever comedy and Gary Cole is hilariously deadpan in it. His pointless speeches are epic.

The second one, which I saw in theatres, wasn't as good - the novelty was definitely less fresh - but it was still a casually entertaining watch.

I never saw the STV/Made-For-TV sequel(s) (Plural???).

Agreed about the sequel. It wasn't terrible but it just wasn't as good.

The first movie is generally underrated despite its clever parody of the show. I've watched it multiple times and picked up new, subtle jokes I didn't catch before.

The problem with the sequel is that all the best things to make fun of on the show were done in the first movie.

Never a fan of the old show but the movies were funny with the sly tongue in cheek humor.

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!

Loved the first film, especially psycho Jan with her "head" voice.

The sequel is ok, but nowhere near as good as the first one. Best thing in the second one is the sexual tension between Marcia and Greg.

Personaly, I liked these films. Sure, they're parodies, but that's kinda what makes them worth watching. I don't have much to comment on the films other than I like them and will watch them whenever they're on tv. I liked the real Brady show, and these films kinda take a turn of showing you what you love about the tv show and poking fun at it while keeping you happy that it's not disrespectful to the tv show.

Whoever came up with the concept was a genius in that regard. Every tv show turned movie as of late had been a literal update of the original only in present day, but this was actually taking the characters from that period and sticking them in present day.

Yeah. That's what makes it alright to watch. You're watching THE BRADY'S from the 60's in Present day, instead of updating the Brady's. It worked as far as I'm conscerned. It was amusing to see. The Brady's are the same, but the day and age are different.

I want to see this same type of film construction done to a Married With Children movie.

Ive loved Christine Taylor ever since her Hey Dude days.

Agreed. The first was the best. All though I did think the whole Greg and Marsha bit was pretty hilarious in the sequel.

They need to do this with Full House, and make fun of it.

True.

My favorite part of both films are Mike's architectural "designs".

LOL...Mike just draws the same house over and over again with a different sign or name to it. it's histarical.
