I am British. and no I don't have a wii.

This is a thread for all of those British wii owners and for information on British release dates, exclusives etc.

Even if you aren't British, you are all welcome here.

So I'll start off by saying....I want a wii.

My friend came into college yeserday wearing a 'Wii' scarf.....everyone in the room went silent...he announced to the class that he had waited in line for 7 hours to get a wii. And HE GOT ONE! He's only played Sports and Play......loves sports but says play is crapola...of what he's plyed.

He also said that Nintendo gave out free blankets to those waiting in line....

I really want one. I think someone was buying one in the shop yesterday and my girlfriend said that they hid the cardboard case, so not to draw attention.

According to various sources, the Wiis in Europe sold out in the first 12 hours, with a 2 Wii per second speed rate.

Thanks to my girlfriend working in game, i was able to get a wii, 2 games, (zelda and wii play) and another nunchuck to the very handsome price of just under £200.

EDIT: i only got Wii play because it worked out cheaper for me to get that with the remote (30% discount on games) so i basically got the game for free with a little more of the remote.

I pre-ordered at GAME and Argos and got wii's from my brother and me. What was going on last week? Last wednesday Argos and other stores were saying that Nintendo shipped fewer consoles to the UK. Some people were getting wii's without games and accessories and others games without wii's. There seems to have been a second shipment this week, but only to fulfill the pre-orders from last week.
