I am thinking about buying a Wii and have a few questions about it i hope some of you owners can answer for me...

1/Wii positioning..does the wii have to be in front or in the middle of the tv area...i want to put it to the side of the tv but dont know if the wii remote will work properly if not positioned right under the telly.
i know you can get a remote bar to sit under it...but 6 aa batteries is a bit much to just play the games right.(my tv is mounted on a wall)

2/is sonic and the secret ring any good...as this is one of the reasons for getting a Wii.

3/how accurate is the remote and nunchuck...will there be arguments saying "my controller didnt work!!??"

4/how far is a safe distance to play for accurate wii control..it says 10 metres in the book but what is really recommended?

i hope someone can answer these questions....

As far as I know sensor bar has to be in the center on either the top or the bottom of the screen. The Sensor bar's cable is near 8 feet long so it should be able to reach the top of your TV if you want to put it there.

It's okay, but I didn't get that into it.

It depends of the game and developer really. In Wii Sports for example, the controls are pretty great in most of the games except boxing. I have a hard time pulling off hooks to the head and uppercuts. In Sonic the controls aren't too great. But I've haven't had a controller not work on me yet.

I can sit back about 2-3 meters from my TV and play fine, but some games you need to be within 2 meters to play like Dragonball Z. I can't sit on my couch and play that as a message will pop up and tell me to move closer. Maybe it depends on whether or not the game requires the pointer.

thats brilliant!!

thanks for answering my questions..nin tendo will soon be getting another purchase!!!!

looking forward to playing on a brand new Wii!!!
:D
