Does anyone think Joss Whedon will use his line from Aliens 4 in this movie wrt CAPTAIN AMERICA when people meet him?

"Hi, Steve Rogers."

"Heard you were dead."

"Yeah, I get that a lot."

I actually find it funny.

As awesome as that would be, probably not haha.

That's probably the only thing I don't like about the Marvel films and that is the tacked on craptastic 3D.

If they're not filming it in 3D they just shouldn't bother but money talks.

While I agree with you, Joss himself said he filmed the post-credits scene to Cap in 3D and he hated it, so he decided to do post-conversion.

Personally I'll be seeing the movie in 2D...the movie is going to be amazing no matter how many dimensions it is shown in.

I've never been a big fan of 3D anyways, I only see a film in 3D when there's no other options.

Which is fine. I don't have a problem with that at all I just absolutely hate post conversions. The tech is nowhere near ready and it's just an excuse to raise ticket prices. I don't think Whedon was pushing for a conversion the decision on that front wasn't for him to make. That's literally my only gripes about these movies because the content itself I absolutely love.

If he didn't like filming in 3D then the option should have been completely removed including post conversion but obviously that's not going to happen.

I will also watch this in 2D just as I did with Thor and Captain America.

What if the post conversion actually ends up being good though? Obviously Marvel's going all out with this movie, I think it's safe to assume the 3D in this will at least be better than it was in Thor and Cap.

I agree....post conversion is the lazy way to go. I haven't watched very many movies in 3D unless they're animated ones. I did, however, see Thor in 3D and i honestly didn't notice any major differences...for me it made the movie look really dark in some places, especially the scene in Jotunheim.

I highly, highly doubt that. There hasn't been a single worthwhile post conversion to this day. I doubt they'll suddenly break that streak using the same tech they've been using for the past few years.

Yeah I gave it a peek after watching it normally and it did absolutely nothing but darken the picture. Post conversion is still absolutely dreadful.

Has there been any converted movie that looked good? I've yet to see one.

Do animated films count? I remember Megamind looking pretty good.

In regards to live action films, I've yet to see a post-converted 3D film that stood out (no pun intended)

CG ones I don't think count since they are rendered digitally in 3D.

Ah that would make sense.

In either case, while I don't think the 3D will look good in the Avengers, I'm sure it'll have plenty of stuff that lends itself to the 3D experience (ie. rubble at the screen, perhaps hawkeye shooting his grapple arrow at the screen, etc).

Cap didn't have very much....the only thing I remember is the shield throw.

I wouldn't mind 3D if the theaters would drop the extra price if the patrons were to bring their own glasses (with more and more movies, like The Avengers and Transformers releasing their own 3D glasses) really, why are we paying so much more for a movie than we have to?

Last movie that I thought was truly awesome in 3D was Alice in Wonderland.

I love these two shots

That circling shot of the team is awesome, but I think it would've been cooler if both Iron Man & Thor were descending from the sky.

Yeah his lips are moving and his head is bobbing up and down as well.

I think that shot is from one of the German or Russian edits of the first trailer.

'trying to get me back in the world?'

'trying to save it.'

I think that's the scene.
