The Casey Anthony Murder Trial - Two Threads Too Many

I hope Nancy Grace gets killed in prison....

Oh wait...wrong chick. My mistake. :o

Call it sad but I would rather this happen in hopes that companies would fear making a deal with Casey. Alot of people are already going nuts over the fact she was found not guilty. I'm not going to go nuts unless I found out Casey has more money than me That is just not right! People work their whole life and a souless party girl makes more money than them in one day than they do in a lifetime.

Any money she makes she will have to pay back Florida thousands if not millions of dollars. Most of the money she makes she is not keeping

Anyone else find it sad that a person can be found "not guilty" in this country and as a result they're hated even more than if they were found guilty?

I mean, the "not guilty" verdict should vindicate someone...I know I hope that it would vindicate me. It's disheartening to me that once the media and the populous has made their minds up, there's no turning back.

Hypothetically speaking, if she really didn't do it (I know, "How dare he?") then I can't imagine the amount of frustration going on in her mind. I know that if I didn't commit a crime, was found not guilty by a jury of my peers, but then was deemed guilty by the court of public opinion, I'd be on the verge of suicide.

The way I look at it is this: she was found "not guilty" and she can never be tried again. While we don't have to assume she was innocent, we don't have to assume she did it either. We shouldn't assume or speculate when it comes to these things anyways. I'm not saying we can't, but it doesn't seem healthy to do it all of the time.

It's over and done with. Let her, her family, the American people, and most importantly the media, move on. It's time to get on with our lives. Take solace in the fact that YOU didn't kill the girl, and let judgment fall on Casey from someone/something else, if it's out there.

When people feel justice hasn't been done, that's what they do, regardless of the law's decision.

I read her release date got pushed back from July 13th to July 17th. She'll have to spend a few more days in jail.

HLN will readjust their countdown clock accordingly.

That will give Scourge more time to execute a hit on her inside prison.

Nothing, especially now will happen to her in one of those facilities. They are going to keep her in a single cell lockdown. She wont be stepping out to see anyone but the guards.

Plenty of time to plan out a riot & public stoning. It could also be a diversion to avoid such things from happening. She could still secretly be released on July 13th & then have 4 days to have been safely gotten out of Florida before a ton of people would have shown up to the jail house on July 17th to cause trouble.

Thinking about this whole thing for awhile, I've gotten sick of all the people saying how she deserves the death penalty or life in prison. Personally, I do think she's guilty, but once again they didn't have enough evidence to convict her. Everyone who doesn't care about that and says that they would have found her guilty if they were on the jury or just as dumb as the people involved with the Salem Witch Trials.

Yes, it seems she most likely did it, but without all the evidence and facts, she shouldn't be considered officially guilty.

I actually disagree with this...

Unless she gets a judge in the civil case with "zanny the nanny" that wants to use it as their chance to get some justice so to speak, the Zanaida Martinez will probably not get "that much money". She has to prove that her livelihood was hurt by all of this to get a money amount. She didn't have a job during all of this, so unless she can prove that she didn't get some jobs because of this, I'm not sure she will get all that much out of it. BUT, again that depends on the jury and judge. They will have to move this case out of Florida, there is just no way on earth to get an impartial ANYTHING at this point.

As far as the search team from Texas, I don't see them going for anything more than the cost they incurred in the search, which right now looks to be around $150,000....

As far as her lawyer? Yeah, he'll get a percentage....

But, right now the book deals out their are in the millions of dollars...

She will end up getting something out of this unfortunately.

The state of Florida also wants her to pay costs associated with the investigation and trial, which I heard could be in the six-figure range.

What useless posturing by the state. I despise Casey Anthony and believe she killed her baby, but she was rightfully found not guilty, and making an accused person pay for their own investigation and trial nothing more than state-sanctioned racketeering, and is an assault on fundamental freedoms and democracy for us all.

If the state didn't like the outcome, they should appeal it, or just ****.

I think it has more to do with the fact that, through her defense team, she admitted that the entire time when the investigation was going on she knew that there was no missing child and she knew of the location of the body, wasting the time and resources of the police and state.

Her mom logged in to visit her.....she refused the visit. Probably on the advice of her lawyer since the jail loves to video tape these visits and release them to the public.

In Florida, the media had a right to see those videos per Florida's "Sunshine Law": http://www.myflsunshine.com/sun.nsf/pages/Law

So, it wasn't a matter of the jail choosing to do it because they "love" it.

Scourge doesn't do things like that. I'd rather she be hounded for the rest of her days. Her being murdered doesn't really honor Caylee Anthony.

At this point she would actually be a dumbass not to take the book/movie offers.

She's a known liar dude. Who in their right mind is going to believe her account of things besides the jury ?

While Casey never testified, the prosecutor and their expert witness DID lie about the Google searches that never happened, and they trotted up junk science about the chloroform and called it legit. George Anthony, Cindy Anthony and the guy who found the body all lied under oath as well...

In other words...you can't trust anything that was said or evidence that was entered...so they had no choice but to find her not guilty.

I believe it was juror #3 that made a statement. They said that they were sick to their stomach, crying, but they had no other choice if they went by the evidence itself.

I feel extremely bad for these jurors....this is going to follow them the rest of their lives and that is very sad.

Funny, the evidence of her lying from the get go seems convincing to me she has something to do killing the kid

lying is'nt enough they needed to provide rock solid evidence

and they did'nt i have been a juror and it is hard thing to go through

That is proof that she is a liar, but not much else...

If you don't know the how, when, where, why of a murder.....it's pretty hard to convict someone.

Yeah, a year and a half ago I was a juror on a murder trial....a drug dealer shot another drug dealer....

As we listened to the prosecutor's case I was sitting there thinking....wow, no one actually saw him with the AK47.....I'm going to have a hard time convicting a guy of something that no one has said they actually saw with the gun.

Then it came to the defense, and they had decided to go on the self defense route...IDIOT, IDIOT, IDIOT MOVE by the defense lawyer....because when you do that, you have to get on the stand and actually admit you shot the person....

Well, with a gun shot in the side, and 4 in the back, and 17 shell casings all together.....it was not self defense, and had they not gone with that scenario and stuck with a I didn't do it....I wouldn't have been able to say that he did it....

If the evidence isn't there....it isn't there....
