I've been hearing this ever since the movie came out (which I somewhat enjoyed, by the way) and it always made no sense to me.

Exactly how is "The Covenant", a movie based on a book about a group of four boys whose family history has ties to witchcraft, similar to a movie about a group of teens banding together to fight vampires?

I guess the overall tone/atmosphere to it.
Btw, The Covenant sucked balls, especially that piece of crap that they call a finale.

Never seen Covenant but Lost Boys is a classic! I love that movie.

Well, the stories are similar by having a group of boys involed in the supernatural. That's about as similar as it gets. It's showing all night on the Starz channels.

I feel bad for Laura Ramsey and whoever played the mom. They were the best actresses in the damn film even with the **** they had to say. Taylor Kitsch has also been better. The other guys must have blown the director in order to get their roles because I've seen better acting in porn.

It actually is a good concept and intriguing, but it delivers nothing.

I can do whatever I want, so I'll just shoot silly string and water balls at you! :o

It always just looked like The Craft to me...but with you know, dudes, instead of hotties in school girl outfits...

Yeah, while I still liked the movie (I guess it was just the plot that had me hooked) it seemed more like it was meant to be a 2 hour long pilot for a television series on the CW.

I think it would've worked way better as a show.
