Comedy The Daily Show Thread

even with that modest dress she had on last night, you can tell the sweater puppies are "impressive"

I must admit, if I ever wanted to be in a fake sham marriage with anybody, I would be honoured if it would be with Meagan McCain.

And then you would inherit a house or two. Too much makeup for me but she's a sane voice amongst all the insanity between the two parties.

McCain hasn't been back since May 2008, his 15th appearance in 8.5 years.

So Jon made his announcement last night. It's a "Restore Sanity" rally in Washington D.C. on October 30, 2010!

probably get more than both Becks and Sharptons rallies combined

I remember Beck saying there were close to a milliion people at his rally. :whatever:

so do I, but he got canned because the network wanted to start shoving guests on him that he didn't want

I was just reading that......Jon Stewart didn't get you fired, you got fired because you called some a BIGOT on air, ya ******

Wow, that is like the second time Stewart has gotten a show canceled on a major news network.

& Holy crap Rick went a little nuts for a minute. He wasn't even drunk at the time. All he was missing was calling an intern Sugar T**s.

"Sanchez like football."

Just another reason to air the footage of him being tasered. He may have some sort of argument on how minority reporters/anchors are treated and looked upon but he needed to think about what he was saying. He's a news anchor that would fit in with any cartoon show. If he had a body of work that could be respected then maybe people wouldn't think he was a "second tier guy."

Just out of curiousity. Did Sanchez every mention is roots until that night. Sounds to me like he was playing the race card.

Just got back from the taping of tonight's show.

It was really fun. He took questions before the show - someone asked him if he thought Joe Torre would manage the Mets next year, and he said the Mets were so unmanagable that if Harry Potter was managing they would still lose. Someone else said that he'd brought his wife there for her b'day and he reminded them that the tickets were free. :funny:

He also asked who was coming to the rally and did a bunch of fist pumps when most of the audience applauded. He said it's going to be amazing.

The show was very funny...and it's great to hear it un-bleeped, because he dropped a ton of f-bombs tonight. There was a segment by Wyatt Cynac about a mortgage company that bailed on its own mortgage, and afterwards Jon brought Wyatt out to take a bow.

But it was great to finally get to a show...I've been trying to get tickets for ages. Can't wait for the rally.

That's awesome danoyse. I'd love to see a taping of the show.

anyone watched the extended interview with Eric Cantor? that was amazing
