The Dark Knight The Dark Knight Deleted Scenes

I always wonder where the tumbler was peeling out to? Was there a special hidden ramp exit for it?

sorry Messanjah Matt and to all its just the same thing only you can see the front of the tumbler and i think there is in the far end of the cave

Here's an interview Michael Jai White and Scott Sanders did for their movie Black Dynamite. Michael is asked about his fate in the movie. Sounds like most of Gambol landed on the cutting room floor.

OK. So your work on The Dark Knight came after that?

Michael: That came far after that. Yeah.
The "that" in the question is Black Dynamite.

Let me ask you real quick about your role as Gambol in the The Dark Knight. When his death scene comes, is that a cut moment? That’s kind of like you just see him crumple to the ground. He’s got the knife in the mouth and then… was there a shot that they cut?

Michael: Well, there’s a lot that they cut out. Gambol was not intended on dying. It wasn’t a death, actually. And my mouth gets cut. But it was an effort to shorten the movie. They had to cut down a whole lot. And a lot of my stuff that I shot was really compressed and cut down. And they had to just kind of get rid of the character in a way.

But that’s not what was intended when we shot.

Here is the link to the interview.

Where was the additional footage in the script, though? Gambol has no more scenes after his mouth gets cut. The only additional "scene" that's completely missing is the one showing Joker leaving the fundraiser.

Where was this shot btw? It's from the Domino's trailer;

It similar to the scene with Gordon, on the end of the movie.

0.22 - 0.30 = it's not similar to the movie, I mean the way how Joker speaks it's slightly than in the movie... watch the moment Kill the Batman.
1.58 - 1.59 - there is a scene with Joker saying "You'll see I show you"... I don't remember that was in interrogation scene... or it was since I saw TDK more that 5 fimes.

1:22 - "Then you're gonna love me" (we see Batman saying that phrase, but in the movie we heard only his voice)

Just alternate takes of different scenes, not deleted.

Am I the only one who thinks that's pretty big news? I mean that's quite a lot of stuff that was cut out..

I'd have to see what they cut out to be sure. It could be a case of him filming only a minute's more worth of scene to which he sees it as a "lot" more.

I'm sure there's a bunch of things cut from the film, but as far as whole scenes or plot points? I not t'ink so.*

*I could be wrong. :)

Haha wow never mind my last post there, total brain fart moment...

When I read the interview I was unpder the impression that it was with Michael Caine, making it seem as though there was a scene in which Alfred gets cut. I see now that it is in fact, not with Caine but with Michael Jai White, the actor who plays Gambol.

That will teach me to read much more carefully for now on! :oldrazz:

I think the Gambol interview seems like a pretty big deal, but I'm probably wrong.

The Joker bus scene embeded.

I always wondered what this was.

Yeah, I don't recall any scene where Joker was even near a car. Didn't we see some behind the scenes footage of the Joker getting into a car on a street, too?

The thug in the driver's seat looks like one of the goons that was with him when he crashed the party.

It could be. I wish someone in the know would let us in on it once & for all. :yay:

There was a scene filmed with the Joker in a car. I've posted this clip before of what I saw one night of filming:

[YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YZoPcxNuHN0&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YZoPcxNuHN0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/YT]

I could have sworn I heard it was a scene with Joker & Gordon in the same car. But then again, I could have heard that way wrong.
