Remember the short lived animated Spider-Man series (the computer animated one, that was based on the raimi films) or the Beetlejuice cartoon based on Film.

Now Imagine they were making an animated series based on Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, howshould the characters look, the batmobile(all in an amimated style) pluswho would you choose as the voice cast, bearing in mind bale would be too busy to do it and its diffrent from TAS (meaning no Kevin Conroy)

It would also give us a chance to see the smaller less no bad guys. (or just the one's we probably wont see in the films Eg. Clayface, Killer Croc)

I'd love to see manips, thanks in advance.

There would be both a "The Batman" cartoon and a "The Dark Knight" one?

Yeah, but its just abit of fun, as far as i know this aint planned.

Have it look like the Spawn HBO series. Otherwise I'd do it exactly like the guys in the WeDemandBetter thread in Batworld have outlined it.

A Dark Knight animated series would be way better than "The Batman" is if they treated it with a more serious tone instead of being a kid friendly show. But I would want it to look different than any other Batman animated series otherwise you're just rehashing old stuff.

I'd go with a Cowboy Bebop or A Scanner Darkly look just so it looks cool and original. I also think Batman should look like he does in the movies as opposed to the grey tights look. They should create a new design for the batmobile even though I do like the Tumbler for the sake of originality. I would try and make it as new and original as possible, except I would have Mark Hamill voice the Joker again and also ideally I would want Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman because those are the voices that I imagine whenever I read their characters in the comics.

But also I would rather have a Dark Knight based live action show than another animated series.

If they do an Animated series who will watch it? Seriously cartoons were mainly designed for children and having a series on the nolan films would be too serious and keep children away.

Problem with that is they film live action then animate on top of it.

Make it more mature, put it on AdultSwim - BINGO! Instant success.

Putting boobs in it = runaway smash hit.

Harley Quinn + Poison Ivy + Topless = A mass orgasm from the comic book community.

Speaking of doing it in a "A Scanner Darkly" style, ever since I saw Sin City for the first time I've imagined how cool it would be to see direct film adaptations of story arcs like The Long Halloween and Year One in that style.

Ugh, I hope not. I detest Adult Swim right now. It's just crap.

And I hate to shoot down dreams, but they won't have a Dark Knight series because they already have "The Batman", which is half-hour cartoon about perversion and sorrow.

Most of Adult Swim is crap - however that doesn't mean it isnt the perfect place for a mature Batman cartoon. It would be more successful on AS than it would of HBO.

What about Spike TV? They have Samuel L. Jackson's "Afro Ninja" and have made mature-rated cartoons as well.

I want a very dim, glim, gloomy look with lots of shadows. I want a Batman that's a mix of Miller's Batman and Christian Bale's Batman with Kevin Conroy coming back to voice him. Mark Hamill should come back as The Joker. And if it goes to HBO three things you got to add:

1. Bullets
2. Broads
3. All-Batman, all the time.

In other words: blood and bullets, beautiful women, and a Batman show that is close to the comics but reminds of what Paul Dini and Bruce Timm did with "BTAS."

Spike TV isn't owned by WB - Adult Swim is and has a much larger pre-packaged fan base.

Yeah, sorry, but they already have THE BATMAN cartoon. I doubt it will happen fot a new TDK toon.

But Adult Swim has outdone their welcome IMO. The only shows I watch on there are Family Guy, Futurama, and Robot Chicken and sometimes Aqua Team.

Ah, a Dark Knight animated show is like a fantasy that we want so bad like......Leprechaun's gold at the end of the rainbow...or something like that.

You still watch it - which means you still see the commericials - which means that if Adult Swim starting advertising for a Batman Mature Cartoon you would know about it and chances are you would watch it.

It can be done--- just needs to be given to the right people, at the right network, and made more in a tough-as-nails-not-made-for-the-kiddies-half-hour-show. I really do think it can be done.

Of course it can be done, but it won't be done. WB won't do it.
