The DC Riddle thread

Damn I picked a good one. :D

All of the clues are there, especially in that last little line I added.

I tread the same path my father did, never escaping from his shadow.
The same tragedies, cuts, and loss of hope.
No matter how hard I fight the good fight, or who I lead into battle,
will it even matter in the end?
Will you remember me when I'm gone?

Nope and nope,

here's another hint:

Just to die and be free, end it all, here, in fire, in the giant's lair.

Frankinstein?

Nope.

Dang, lots of characters with daddy issues. There's still enough clues though.

One more guess and then I tell.

Spoiler? Talia? Neesa? Alex Luthor?

Nope!

Ha, I win.

Rick Flagg Jr.

"I tread the same path my father did, never escaping from his shadow."

Dad was in Suicide Squad, so was Rick.

"The same tragedies, cuts, and loss of hope."

Both Flaggs lost hope towards the end of their lives, losing many comrades and loved ones, and wanting to die.

"No matter how hard I fight the good fight, or who I lead into battle,"

Who I lead into battle was a big one. Flagg Jr lead heroes and villians, not just heroes.

"Will it even matter in the end?"

Rick thought his life was useless towards the end.

"Will you remember me when I'm gone?"

Rick lost everyone close to him with the exception of Nightshade, whom he never realised his romantic relationship with. He was too depressed.

"Just to die and be free,"

Hello? SUCIDE SQUAD! I was sure someone would get that! :D

"end it all,"

A common euphanism for Sucide.

"here, in fire,"

Flagg died in a nuclear explosion inside of... *drumroll*

"in the giant's lair."

Joutenheim, which means lair, or city of giants.

Hey, its a riddle sucker, I'm not going to make it easy. :p

The main clue was the death wish, sure others may have daddy issues, but how many of them want to die?

I lost my parents when I was very young. Some wierdos took me in

but I grew to love them all like a family. Especially my new mom.

But...I lost them all one day. If it weren't for my next family, I don't know

what would have become of me. I became a bit of a jokster. Made a few

really close friends. Even became a leader if you can believe that.

Raised in darkness a life I would learn to be a lie

Meeting my real father was a Happy event.

Taking his name and with his abilities.

Sunlight wasn't something be feared but rather mine to control.

I became a hero.

Damn I hate riddles.

My real life started with 2 big bangs

Some say I'm aloof, cold and cocky,

They're right.

Aloof, to stay above the darkenss I'm wrapped in

Cold, to stay above the pain I see, the pain I feel,

Cocky? Not when you can back it up.

I knew that would be a guess when i put in cocky, but no, not Guy.

Cool.

This one kind of sucks.

______________

I'm not from here.

I'm alien.

I am the last one, yet I have many allies.

I am immensley powerful.

The element is my only enemy.

I am cold, almost unemotional.

I love chocolate.

I'm probably wrong, since I know almost nothing DC, but what the hey :D

Martian Manhunter?

Egads. I don't know if I can come up with one. >.>
This is gonna blow. One, I'm anti-poetry, and DC isn't my forte. =D
Oh well!

Black and blue with broken bones and other wounds, (courtesy of NIN lyrics)

I'm stuck in a sibling rivalry, or am I elsewhere?

I've almost descended into a soap opera like Spider-man,

and now I'm not even written like I should be. It was only a year!

But that's okay - I was first, and trained by one of the world's finest.

Oh well.
