Wow, what a crappy week. I might even wait until the following week to pick these up. I don't know if I want to drive 20 minutes just for these. X-Factor is my least favorite book that I buy. X-23 I typically like but it's on the lower half of my buy list. Moon Knight is still in the testing stage. Gates of Gotham is the only one here that really has my attention.

Eh, we'll see.

Small, but seemingly great week. Gates of Gotham has been really solid, and this bi-weekly schedule for the Gates and Detective have had for the past fw weeks as the new relaunch at DC approaches has me giddy. Plus, we get Severed #1, a new horror series by Scott Snyder, which I'm excited about. The more comics put out by this guy the better.

Knight of Vengeance has been great and makes me wish DC would throw Azzarello and Risso onto another Bat-title one day. Then there's Red Skull #2. I picked up the first issue last week due to great reviews and man, that was some heavy stuff. I loved it. And last but not least, Greg Rucka's first issue on The Punisher. Should be some good stuff, indeed.

the 80's Batman book is a maybe. I'm kinda bummed that Alan Davis isn't doing the artwork and even more bummed that the reprint featured in the book is going to be from Year 2, which means it's not a self-contained story and it'll probably be a McFarlane illustrated issue. But still, it's Mike W. Barr and I enjoyed his Detective Comics run. We'll see.

It's also cool to see that Dynamite Comics is letting Matt Wagner finish up his Zorro story. That was some good stuff and I'm glad to see it coming back. A little bummed that Francesco Francavilla isn't back to do the art, but considering he's been busy with Detective Comics and Black Panther, I suppose it's understandable.

SUPERMAN #714 -- Last issue SUCKED, this issue needs to be a good one (can't get any worse than *713).

Marvel

HULK #38 FEAR -- This series has been good; Loeb and Mcuiness's run was amazing IMO. That being said I'm drop this book after "Fear". I'm ready for Ross to be a villian again... and a General (I like Betty as a Red Hulk though)!

PUNISHER #1 -- I am really looking forward to Rucka and Company's run on this book, and I'm glad it's not a Max title.

Some possible good stuff that's coming out new on Wednesday. Broken Pieces by Aspen looks interesting; but, I'm more excited for Rachel Rising. Also, Matt Wagner is going to finish his fantastic Zorro run with RidesAgain. (And, my daughter is happy about Strawberry Shortcake.)
