Wow, probably the biggest week I've had in a long thing. Several high priced issues, too. I'm a bit torn of that Jimmy Olsen issue. I want to see what happens but hate paying for all the previous material I already own in the AC back-ups (and $5.99 is just a lot in general).

Yes, it shows up almost at the beginning of the day now. You don't get the text or pdf version until around 10-11ish or something.

Just thought I'd point out those two issues I've dropped and that I'm saving money on... I'm no longer just talk people! I'm half tempted to finish out this arc of Avengers though, since I think 11 is the last issue and it's a small week (bound to be fuller from carry over comic from this week) but I figure I'll skim it first. The book is dropped 100%... it's just whether or not it's this week or next month.

As for the maybes, I'm dropping Incredible Hulks as well but I might finish out this arc. I haven't decided yet. I was debating on keeping it but with all these "twice a month" comics coming up I just can't afford it and dropping this title is like dropping 2 a month... which is good for me. Besides, I hate that they're getting away from the more family feel of the book. Age of X Universe #1 I fear because I'm worried it's going to be a filler story that does nothing to help the crossover. I want to skim it before I buy it.

Small haul to end the month. Between CA #615.1 and SA #11, and the FEAR ITSELF: BOOK OF THE SKULL one shot, Brubaker will have gotten to have released one WWII flashback featuring Captain America, and retelling his origin, within a month. That's insane. I've seen that more than "THE CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS SPECIAL". It is approaching the origins of Superman and Batman. They have been done so often, every time a writer feels the need to retell it for the trillionth time, a kitten dies somewhere.

I honestly believe via all the WWII comics that actually existed, plus all the flashbacks, more events have been written than actual days Steve Rogers could have served in the war. Someone one day will do the math and prove me right. Rogers would have entered the war with America in 1942 and he was frozen in 1945. That is approximately 1,095 possible days he could have served, and even that estimate is a high figure and it is likely less, perhaps closer to 985-1000 days. We may be fast approaching more than that many WWII flashback stories in his history, combined with actual comics from then. It certainly feels that at least 300 of those were from Brubaker.

If not for Nick Spencer I'd likely have dumped SECRET AVENGERS by now. As for SPIDER-GIRL, it may struggle to survive past issue #7 or #8, so you'd better enjoy it now.

This isn't the 616 Cyclops. It's the First Class one, like the Marvel Girl and Angel & Ice Man oneshots the past few weeks. I googled it to make sure myself.

Called it. It is a shame, but ASM spin offs struggle these days, and the first issue had a bad debut.

I am curious how well VENOM #1 will do.
