The FACEBOOK Thread - Part 2

Not this again. How hard is it get kissed? Go out to a club tonight and just pay a chick twenty bucks to kiss you.

That's kinda immoral. But I of course shouldn't talk... But in any case, I do use this to jog/run. I did 2.50 miles in the rain earlier.

Not a huge surprise. What would you think would happen if you see every one of your "friends" has over 1000 friends?

Eh, doesn't really effect me too much.

I have 400 something friends, and people's Facebook pages don't make me feel insecure about myself.

It's a combination of me knowing most of those people on some level in real life, and knowing how their personalities actually are, and not really feeling inferior because of how they live their lives, as well as being satisfied with my life enough that I don't feel the need to live vicariously through my 400 something Facebook friends.

I only have 69 friends (:hehe:). I don't friend everyone I meet. Other than a few people I've met online, they're all people I've known at some point in person. I used to be kind of depressed when I saw my friends have over 100 or some other insane number, but I don't care anymore. It's just people I know and who I care about staying in touch with.

Shoot...20 bucks can get you more than a kiss depending on the parts of town you go to. :cwink::oldrazz:

Stay in school, kids.

I have 271 total friends and family on FB. Although that number may increase a bit, as I've had family from other countries find and request me recently. I've been stationed a couple of different places over my Military career, and like keep in touch with those folks.
It still amazes me When I see younger people (18-20yo) who near a 1000 people on there.

Facebook makes me feel much better about myself, mostly because my friends on there either post a bunch of idiotic political stuff or crappy music videos and therefore I feel my tastes are much more refined than theirs. If anything, it gives me a superiority complex.

"Abe Lincoln was a dictator"

Trace Adkins video

****ing twits.

Yes, sometimes it can be entertaining to read the stupid things that people post. It can also be quite frustrating, whenever I want to feel anger I just log on Facebook and read the news feed. Can't believe I have these people on my friend's list, time to clean it up!

Eh, if anything, I think teenagers today could use a little less self-esteem.

I only have 27 friends on Facebook and it's all people I actually know.

And it may sound petty, but sometimes it bugs me when I see a post about how they're doing all this great stuff while the only thing I have time for is work and nothing else.

I have over 400 friends on Facebook. I know most of them and have at least spoken to or communicated with others at least once. I don't tend to friend absolutely everyone and only those I've actually interacted with.

I do hide a lot of updates because it gets far too many to read. I only read those updates from the people I see regularly in real life. I don't update my status at all and use FB more for events.

Facebook is just a pointless use of Internet bandwidth to me. Some people are actually incredulous when they discover I am not even registered on FB. I'm incredulous they think like that.

They are like, "How do you tell your friends what you are doing?"
I say, "I speak to them on the telephone, or send them an e-mail. Not all of my friends need or indeed want to know everything I get up to everytime I do it."

More incredulous looks from some. At which point I give up explaining...

I despise Facebook and the annoyances that come with it. I don't have time to waste hearing about day-to-day crap that I care nothing about. I prefer to hear about it in person.

I keep my account registered if only for a circumstance if I need to reach someone and I can't get them by phone or email.

If somebody has over 1000 friends, I'm inclined to believe that they've just friended random people. Unless they travel a lot... or are famous or something. :funny:

I've got 232 and I can honestly say I know them all.

I'm wounded when no one likes my status.
This usually bothers me because I'll see someone with 20 likes, whereas I'll get a couple. But then I realize they have 5x as many friends as I do so of course they're going to get more.

I kinda hate it when I see notifications from the same aunt or friend that I never talk to, yet they like all of my statuses and photos.

Well you guys are always welcome to join the ..."unofficial" hype group. :ninja:

Has Timeline been implemented yet? I haven't seen any changes on my account.

It's because of school/university friends... what Facebook was originally designed for.

I'm pretty sure that's why most highschool brats have so many...they basically add their whole school.

The word 'friend' should be changed to 'contact' ideally. It's impossible to truely be friends with that many people and to know them on a personal level. I have 900 on facebook, but I probably only regularly converse with 20.

It's a stupid site.

You can switch to it but you're not required as of yet. I saw a notice on my page but I'm not switching until it forces me to.

Same.

Timeline is absolutely horrible. It's so disorganized and disjoined. There's no simplicity in it's design.

I'm dredding the day it's switches over.

I hate how the updates alternate from left to right. It makes it look cluttered.

Timeline was supposed to become mandatory a few weeks ago but never did, and I think all the backlash from users coupled with how it would treat company/fan/etc pages has slowed its mandation.
