It'll be worth the wait because after BvS, it's go time. No more waiting 3 years for another movie!

Hang tight. Good things come to those who wait, and after this waiting period, we'll be getting DC films as regularly as Marvel ones, before Marvel boost their film quota to 3 a year.

I was thinking about it the other day, other than Tron: Legacy, has there been any film that his been hinted/advertised at SDCC as much as those two films? If I remember correctly, both were at SDCC three times.

...nah it just means they won't be rushed. The effects budget is what it is. Quality will come down to the vfx supervisor, the director and how it was shot/planned.
eg transformers does well in this regard, here's hoping Snyder and whomever is working on this do as well. Time is no longer an excuse, then again, it really wasn't on mos either.

It feels like a forever wait. But the quality will be amazing. The hype will be even bigger & it's in a great spot (march). I'm hoping for a superbowl spot & we get to watch a trailer during TFA.

At least after this, we won't have to wait long for the other movies.

That is no longer the release date, it was move up three months lo late March 2016.

Oh I see. Well they initially moved from July 2015 to May 2016 because they realised they would need more time because the script was being rewritten by Chris Terrio (from Goyer's original). Maybe the differences originating from Terrio's draft were very significant that they saw the need to push back.

Honestly, as bummed as I was when I first read the news of the delay, I ratther have a better script and a better movie as a result of that than have a lesser quality version of it out by now.

There’s that. Also, wasn’t there something about finalizing the casting for the upcoming JL movies - which, in some fashion, impacted on BvS’s production? Also also, a production delay of only a few weeks can throw off a release date by months (because the studio has to wait - as they say at NASA - for the next available “launch window”).

On the same boat. I really hope they take their time with the score and effects. 7 months out, it SHOULD be good, but it doesn't necessarily mean that. They're using the same companies from MoS and it could turn out to be cartoony like the Zod fight.
