as the title says. Now that the only missing IP that mattered is home, how will the FF lay the groundwork for future Phases? What are your ideas?

I've posted on this before but I originally picture F4 being from the 1960's lost in space, getting their powers during the testing of a light speed engine. With relativity they end up in present day and Spend the movie trying to get home. The antagonist would be the Skrulls, with Super Skrull being the lead villain teasing a future Secret Invasion story line. With the Captain Marvel announcement kind of ruins the villains but I still like the idea they're lost in space, something completely different from previous films.

In the end Richard's bank accounts would amass a small fortune which he uses to create The Fantastic Foundation, a think tank and outreach program for scientific advancement. and Tease Doom for the sequel.

First of all, I'm so glad it was confirmed that the Fantastic Four are definitely a part of this deal. I guess Disney must have bought the production rights from Constantin Films as soon as the deal was definite.

In terms of future phases, I'd like:

- One of the Infinity War consequences to be the Fantastic Four getting their powers. Have the origin a throwaway moment of IW rather than the focus of an entire film. Maybe in Avengers 4 with Thanos having won in the previous film, Tony Stark recruits Reed and Sue to join some sort of space station base where the remaining Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy currently are to look into the science behind the Infinity Gauntlet, see if there's a weakness they can use to their advantage to take down Thanos. Perhaps Thanos spots this spaceship piloted by Ben Grimm and somehow causes the cosmic rays? Maybe Johnny Storm was a stowaway (in the original origin story, it is quite random him being there)?

- After Avengers 4, I'd like to see the Fantastic Four get their 'Homecoming' and it to take inspiration from the comic storyline 'Rise of the Sub Mariner'. Namor as the antagonist, who in later movies switches sides in a similar manner to Loki in the Thor films. No Tony Stark intervention this time though. Maybe a cameo from an MCU hero if need be - perhaps Star Lord could make an appearance, or Spider-Man. I'd like a trilogy of films, and all three to have a heavy focus on family. Really play with the dysfunctional family thing.

- I'd like the Phase Four villain to be Doctor Doom, Phase Five maybe a Spider-Man villain rather than Fantastic Four, and Phase Six Galactus. P4,5 and 6 movies all need to set up Galactus in the same way Phases 1,2 and 3 did with Thanos.

- Silver Surfer should be introduced in either one of the Fantastic Four films, or an Avenger movie. In my version of the phases he definitely wouldn't appear in the first film, but maybe the second or third.

- I totally want to see T'Challa appear in one of the Fantastic Four films (again, in my version it wouldn't be the first film), as I loved the FF comic stories where he appeared. He is well-suited for the tone of Fantastic Four.

Mods... Let's uh... consolidate all these X-Men and FF threads. This feels like the fifth one in as many days that is about an MCU FF.

Carol's got the Skrull and Kree set up well enough already. Let the FF get into Time Travel and Kang.

all the others are spoiled with X-Men talk. I'd love to have a thread about the FF withount mentioning of the Merry Mutants

Kang and Doom wlll probably play a big role going forward

Kevin Feige said that Avengers 4 will take place across multiple timelines.

Hope to see a Silver Surfer origin hundreds of millions of years ago. A Doom Origin in the 1990s and a Fantastic Four film set today.

It would be amazing.

I wonder when a Surfer thread will be opened. :D

Let's not forget that iconic Wolverine vs. Hulk fight too. What a sick looking collectible right here! :)

There are like four threads already though for FF. Mods shouconsolidate them now.

Finally we'll see Marvel's finest(if not comicdom's) villain done gloriously!

Feige better not screw up Dr. Doom like Fox did. He should be the Darth Vader of MCU and always be the thorn on the heroes’ side.

I don't think they will! :doom:

I'd rather they kept Kang the Conqueror back as a post-Galactus threat, with Galactus as the next big bad after Thanos.

That's the only thing you can do as a next big Epic after Thanos.
Image a huge Galactus destroying earth calling out All the Heroes...Mutants as well.

Reed Richards needs to be the next Robert Downey Jr for the next ten years

If they get the right guy in for Reed then this might be possible. I hope this Reed gets some time with Stark at some point.

I just hope they don't copy the RDJ template with Reed. Which is easier said than done. Getting across Reed's towering intellect as well as his flaws while still making him a cool lead character is not as simple as we would like to think. I just don't want to take the short cut of making him like Stark with the flippancy and quips.

As long as they don't make him the shy, socially inept nerd cliche I'm happy.

I agree. He should be a different kind of a**hole. Reed should be annoying because he's too serious, not too flip. When people are wrong, Reed should tell them so. and it should be blunt and cringe-inducing - not funny or flip. I picture Reed as similar in some ways to Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock, with no filter or patience for the ignorance of others. Though he should also be calmer, less frenetic and not appearing as if he just did a couple lines.

Hopefully RDJ will survive IW, because, if done right, it would be a lot of fun to see him and Reed going at it.
