Posted this on YouTube, the very first documented Spider-Man fan film and live action Spider-Man. Made in the year 1969! Produced by Don Glut, the same Donald F. Glut who went on to write for classic cartoons such as Transformers and Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. Something cool and not really well known that I wanted to bring some attention to.

Also, please read the video description for some additional info on another Spidey fan film which you may or may not have heard of titled Spider-Man Versus Kraven The Hunter from 1974. I really want to see that one, but we may never unfortunately.

I really want to see Bruce Cardozo's Spider-Man Versus Kraven The Hunter so badly. It sounds like it's so well done and professional from that FOOM article. The Spidey costume looks high quality and the actor who plays Peter Parker looks kinda like a more beefy Andrew Garfield, lol. Also sounds like there was a ton of thought, hard work, and money put in to make things perfect.

I just wish there was some way to contact Bruce Cardozo, it'd be great if he'd just release it online and get over any qualms he has with the Spider-Man movies (so rumored) and let fans all over enjoy his work. Heck, I'd pay for a copy if I could get in contact with him and he'd be willing to sell one.

*shrug*

I couldn't stop laughing when they had the shot of Spidey on the wall, reading the paper, and he's shaking like he's having a seizure.

:funny:

I know it was 1969, but it's still freaking hilarious that they couldn't keep him still for that one scene.

I'd still really like to find this 1974 student film by Bruce Cardozo... but I really don't know where to even begin digging. There is not a thing that could lead to contact the man. :o All I've read besides the FOOM article is this discouraging excerpt from Fan Film Follies.

Spider-Man Versus Kraven The Hunter
One of the earliest Spider-Man fan films beyond the 60’s Don Glut short is a webhead flick by Bruce Cardozo made in 1974. According to an article in the a 1975 issue of Marvel Fan Magazine the film features appearances by Kraven the Hunter and Gwen Stacy, and the story is based on issue fifteen of the comic book. Supposedly, the reason that Mr. Cardozo doesn’t want to put his film online present time is he doesn’t want to show the forces at Marvel and/or Sony how to do a good Spiderman film. I can’t imagine a fan film made in 1974 is going to spark any creative juices for the rebirth of the franchise that’s coming. I’m sure there’s some bad blood there because this was actually endorsed by Marvel and got the thumbs up from Stan Lee. If Cardozo is happening upon this page I have to tell you it’s been over 25 years my friend. Let it go and let the world see your work. Perhaps someday Cardozo will reconsider, but not betting I’ll ever be able to view this potential fan film classic.

Lol, I thought that shot was pretty funny as well.
