The future of the Green Lantern franchise (Campbell not returning for sequel).

Like the Bond franchise, you mean?

I wouldn't mind a different aesthetic depending on how it looks and if it lends itself to the story being told. If the sequel were to focus on Sinestro's fall, then a darker look could work.

would be very bad if they would change the look of the movie for the sequel? i have big respect for Nolan by having a visual different batman movie. in a way 90% of the time you get almost the same movie with sequels.
sometimes you have to reinvent the movie universe to give us the viewer something new.
so i dont think that it would be bad if a new director would make a different looking movie with a different theme.

It is true in the case of the Batman franchise since the older interpretations had pretty much run their course. The Nolan run was basically a breath of fresh air. In the case of Green Lantern, the film is new and there would be no need for any dramatic change unless the film was not popular.

You def shouldn't change how a film looks greatly between sequels. One of the major problems between the batman films pre Nolan.

i didnt mean from Burton to Schumacher.

like for example Harry Potter. if you watch the first movies and the last movies. or for example Batman Begins and Dark knight.

The only difference between those two Batman films is the costume. Most of the main cast was the same and they even had cameos of villains in the previous film in TDK. Those films are tied together. Harry Potter is the same thing the only difference was that the cast grew up along the way. They followed the source material so there wasn't too much of a difference from film to film there either.

But Nolan himself is also guilty of this. TDK looks little like Begins.

I understand that there is some change in these films, but the general aesthetic and cinematography remain the same ( Perhaps slightly different in HP 3). I was just saying that you have to be careful of changing things too much.

From Begins to TDK while parts of the city changed the costume design for the characters were very similar ( this includes new characters which had the same pragmatism as those in begins).

Sometimes new directors come in and try to change the aesthetic too much. I was really just warning against excessive change.
