The Future of X-men

Ok I don't normally start new thread but I was thinking about the x-men francise last night. Let me say that first of all I loved x-3 but there was just two many characters in the film so this is how I think they should handle the future of the x-men.

Do three films that all interconnect with one another based oon the following three characters. The connecting storyline is to do with apocolypse and in each movie we get more information leading up to the final film.

Film 1: Wolverine
Characters: Wolverine, Emma Frost, Gambit, Heather Hudson.
Half the film is flashbacks, half is set in real time. (ala Batman Begins)

Film 2: Storm
Characters: Storm, Beast, Iceman, Kitty, Rogue and Cyclops.
All set in real time. Deals with cyclops return and introduces sinister.

Film 3: Magneto
Characters: Magneto, Xavier, Scarlet Witch, Moria, Mystique, Quicksilver
Flaskbacks mainly. But this films also contains everyones final showdown with apocolypse and the four horsemen.

Probably stupid but I think it would work. Give your own ideas

Youre using a Storm movie to resurrect Cyclops???

While youre at it, be sure to have a Psylocke movie so you can resurrect all the soldiers that died in this movie, and Lady Deathstrike...

Oh and I think they should resurrect the guards from the Statue Of Liberty as well, They didnt get enough time to develop as characters.

It called being practical. No one in there right mind would give cyclops a solo movie. So I put it in with the storm movie because that would be based at the mansion.

So they would give Storm a solo movie but not Cyclops?
Even Magneto is a far stretch imo, he won't be as successful as the Wolverine movie.

how about...oh I dont know...CYCLOPS IS DEAD...He doesnt need a solo movie.

Dead people rarely do anything interesting.

I don't think solo movies are the way to go. You start building a trilogy on three separate one dimensional films built off of characters that can be rich in story but then when you get to final film your trying to culminate the three films in..........nevermind I think I just hurt my brain. Storm should not get her own Xmen film, neither should Mags or Wolvie. Xmen is a story about a group that has taken the charge to bring harmony between two races. Not a series of personal crusades.

I agree, keep xmen movies together. The xmen are suppose to represent a family, not centered around one person, but a group of people working together. Solo movies take away from that.

Thanks. I'm ok with people branching off as long as it doesn't kill the series. But If any of you read the Xbooks in the 90's there was over well lets see:
