Never watched (and probably never will watch) a single episode of The Good Wife but I saw that Delroy Lindo and Erica Tazel were on the cast of the spin-off so I decided to check out a couple episodes. I was thinking they drop the 'F' bomb a lot for a network show...didn't know it was a CBS All Access show, lol. The "You know nothing John Snow" actress is a cast member as well. Has anybody else watched this?

Not a fan of The Good Wife either, but I watched the first few episodes and really enjoyed them. The cast is terrific, and the writing is really smart.

The Good Fight Renewed for Season 2

CBS All Access is hunkering down for a protracted Fight.

The Eye network’s upstart streaming offshoot has renewed The Good Fight for a second season. Although CBS has not released any hard data about The Good Wife spinoff’s viewership for its first five episodes

So over all I enjoyed the first season. Hopefully in season two the characters played by Erica Tazel and Delroy Lindo get lives outside of the office.

I watched this because of Rose Leslie, but I ended up quite loving it overall. Never watched the Good Wife, but that wasn't a problem. Episode 7 was probably my favorite episode. That battle was hilarious.

One thing I thought was strange was how Lucca was suddenly Maia's lawyer. Maia had another lawyer earlier in the season but she just disappeared.

Well with the new season the boldfaced in my quote has happened for Delroy's character (kind of), with the introduction of his ex-wife played by Audra Mcdonald. The show definitely has no shortage of talented actors.

The Good Wife was excellent television. Incredibly smart, vibrant and hilarious at the same time. My biggest criticism is that it sometimes got repetitive with a few of the on-again-off-again relationships and all the firm hopping characters were doing in later seasons. The series finale... I got it, but it was more depressing than I anticipated and somewhat anticlimactic.

The Good Fight opened with two excellent episodes, and those episodes had a noticeably darker vibe to them-- in both tone and visuals-- than its mother series, but managed to keep most of the wit. After that, it really petered off for me with the repetition and kind of bored me... to the point that I actually missed the Season 1 finale and haven't yet bothered with Season 2-- It doesn't help that it's now up against This is Us.

Maybe I'll catch up with it online one day, but I somehow doubt it. The backlog of movie and TV I have to see is ridiculous.

Erica Tazel's departure after the first episode of the season was unexpected. Glad that this season isn't revolving around Maia Rindell/the Rindell case. Pretty much everyone's getting some spotlight, with the exception of the head investigator.

Finally binged the series. CBS All Access so I did a free trial on Amazon to get through it. SUCH a great show. Im so sad that they werent able to finish S4 before COVID hit, especially with 2 of their biggest characters exiting the series.

I dont know how they are going to be able to make up for the characters leaving come Season 5 since they are so ingrained in the shows DNA but hopefully CBS gives them an extended episode amount to deal with everything properly.
