The greatest muppet movie of all time!!!

there's already Muppets 3D at Disneyworld and Disneyland so I wouldn't be surprised if they went down that route.

What? Since when has there been a 3D muppets show at Disneyland? How the heck did I miss that?

WTF, what part of Disneyland is that in? I have never ever come across that before. I'm kind of pissed I've never seen it now lol.

It's in the California Adventure park, right next to the Monsters Inc ride. I have heard rumors it might close and be replaced by Mickey's Philharmagic (the 3D movie they have at Florida's Magic Kingdom, also quite awesome), but far as I know it's still there.

MuppetVision 3D rocks.

Oh no wonder why, I've never stepped foot in California Adventure, I heard it was pretty lackluster. Guess I have a reason to now.

It's not nearly as much fun as Disneyland, although California Screamin' is a great rollercoaster. I didn't see the Muppet 3D movie when I was there, but I've seen it in Florida a few times. It's really funny. The whole theater looks like the Muppet Show theater, complete with Statler and Waldorf in the balcony. They also have the Swedish Chef running the film projector.

The 3D Muppet show was probably my favorite part of California Adventure. The park as a whole is kind of lame, but it's worth it for the muppets

Wow, that sounds really amazing. I didn't watch that whole youtube clip, because I didn't want to spoil it for myself, but it looks great. I hope I get there before they close it.

It's definitely no Disneyland, but they do have superior food, and for the most part the rides are great. It's just that the park is laid out very differently from Disneyland so it feels like it takes forever to get anywhere around there. The Aladdin live show is amazing (although that is closing later this year for a Toy Story one. -__-) It's kind of a pain to go to it right now though, they are doing a lot of additions and construction around the park for new stuff for the 10th anniversary next year. But it's by no means a bad park.

haha had a feeling he would want to star in the film since he co write the picture and all that. cant wait to see how it turns out.

This better be made. The henson company telling everyone about awesome productions that never see the light of day is getting old.

Damn 2011 December is crowded already. Now that you add the Muppets to Christmas its getting even more crowded.

Pixar Comes Onboard Muppets Movie

By Garth Franklin

Key talent involved in Disney's upcoming live-action "The Muppets" movie visited Pixar headquarters this week to seek their help on the film says The Hollywood Reporter.
Key Pixar staffers John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, Michael Arndt, Bob Peterson and president Ed Catmull were apparently there for the consultations with what is likely to be "Muppets" director James Bobin, producers David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, and writer Jason Segel
The move is seen as Disney making use of its partnership with Pixar and drawing on the animation studio's expertise.
A few months ago Pixar helped shape up reshoots for Disney's upcoming sci-fi tentpole "Tron Legacy." The difference here is 'Muppets' has yet to be greenlit so the day-long meeting was to stem potential issues before they emerge.

Massive thread bumpage due to casting announcements:

Amy Adams, Chris Cooper and Rashida Jones are in negotiations to join Disney’s untitled Muppet movie.

Jason Segel is the human lead in the movie, being directed by James Bobin and eyeing a November start in Los Angeles.

The story, by Segel and Nicholas Stoller, sees those wacky Muppets reunite to put on a show in order to save a movie studio.

Adams will play Segel’s girlfriend, who joins him in the quest to gather the Muppets.

Cooper is the greedy villain, who wants to buys the studio to dig for the oil hiding underneath it and who never thought the Muppets were funny to begin with.

Jones would play an ABC exec.

Mandeville’s David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing.

sounds great, though i wish nicholas stoller was directing, never really heard of this bobin guy.

I don't understand why a beautiful woman like Rashida Jones is stuck playing...lawyers and now an exec. She should be a much bigger star than she is now.
