In all seriousness, I hate Christmas. It's a time of the year when I gather with my family, and certain members of my family have to tell me that I'm a loser and they're embarrassed by me. Hopefully they're able to contain themselves this year and it'll be over before I know it.

In my family, Christmas time is when people and pets tend to die. So every year the thought is "Who is going to die this year?".

Yep, exactly. But I don't want to subject them to this magical, and in my opinion lazy excuse to tell kids "be good or no presents." It's not my style, and I don't favor lying to them to make it easier on me. Christmas will be about family and giving back to the community, not "don't annoy me or Santa won't come."

My sister said the same thing.

And Santa's sleigh is mighty full of my niece's gifts right about now.
