The Hangover Part III

Like I said I just think there needs to be a new dynamic added to the group to make it fresher, whether it be Doug or a new character. It can make for different and possibly funnier dialogue if someone else went through a whole adventure along with the guys.

Doug in the pack and Liam Neeson. And if Liam Neeson can't do it, get someone people will actually recognize for the cameo.

I don't mind them sticking with the 3 guys, I don't really see Doug as a Wolfpack guy, doing all the crazy stuff.. If they added a character I'd want Chow back.

I guess they could have Alan getting married or even Chow getting married (if he'd split up) or even re-married... They could have them losing the bride this time or have a group of 4 and end up lost and seperated from each other in 2's. Instead of losing some one they could lose some thing ie the wedding ring or perhaps intentionally taking drugs for fear that it wouldn't live up to the last 2 times if they didn't.

Personally though, I don't mind them sticking with the same formula but I'd rather it be something different to a bachelor party as the reason for it all happening next time... Perhaps they could set the film a few years later and none of them have been in any great contact so they all go on some kind of retreat to the country and the same thing happens only they wake up finding themselves floating down a river in the middle of no-where...

I dunno... I'd like a 3rd one definitely anyway. Loved the 2nd.

I don't think that Alan should get married. It would be too much (especially for those saying that the second one wasn't grounded enough). I personally think it should be set to the backdrop of Phil renewing his vows.

from the sounds of it, from the rumors, if they are talking about it being such a differently paced film and story then i dont doubt that means we will see doug involved in a different way. altho, honestly, doug doesnt even have to be involved. clearly the wolfpack shouldnt be broken up but there should be a reason for that. i heard that alan ends up in a mental institute and breaks out and the others come to save him. part 2 was funny and i loved it but they really have to break away from how the first 2 were, entirely. i dont want to see chow again, mike tyson shouldnt be in it and stu doesnt have to be the one that gets the worst end of everything. weve seen him freak out so much i dont kno where else the character could go if they keep throwing crazy situations at him. im hoping the story for a 3rd movie will be smart and interesting enough without being either ridiculous or boring. alans funny but im afraid a 3rd entry will just create this slapstick character. there needs to be a different element present through the whole film and chaos should ensue, but on a different scale. no camera at the end showing what happened. no drugging or roofies where the cast cant remember what happened and are backtracking. there needs to be some really funny situations of course, but dont make it into looney toons with an r rating. one thing im proud of with these films is their maturity and it needs to stay that way.

and as far as an animal, it doesnt need to have one. the way i see it there should always be lots of ideas in these films but nothing that is going to take up a decent amount of the story. the monkey was funny and all and served the story but i dont want to see that again. the tiger and the baby were bit parts but werent about making the baby or tiger funny themselves. the way the wolfpack reacted to their presence and how to react given the situation was what was funny. if there is an animal in the new one, i wouldnt mind it being something as random as alan having a parrot that repeats certain things at certain times but even that just sounds dumb lol. i have faith in the story though. obviously nothing will ever be better than part 1 because nobody expected any of that to happen. and part 2 was funny still because the theme of most things happening again was still funny. but you cant pull that a third time. it needs to totally separate itself. hell, maybe they end up wanted for something if the rumor of alan breaking out of an institute is true. if they ended up making a better 3rd crank movie and if hangover 3 was a really good funny end to the franchise those would be my favorite 2 shock comedies ever

lol. yes, they are, but when i get on a role with writing out my ideas i dont worry about that so much lol

That would make sence as the first one was about Doug, the second about Stu,so let third be about Phil..
They need to do a little something different to keep it somewhat fresh and hopefully enough to keep ppl wanting to see it.

I don't get the complaints about Doug not fitting in the wolfpack. Not only was he first person to join the wolfpack, but he's also best friends with Phil and Stu so they must have had crazy times before (offscreen of course). And as evidence of the first film, he did all the crazy things with them seen in those pictures. I would love to see Doug do all that with my own eyes though. And I think Justin Bartha is a good actor and can handle himself with Cooper, Helms, and Galifianakis.

Stars of 'Hangover' to get $15 million each for third movie

That's outrageous. Why didn't WB have a multi-film contract drawn up for these guys when they signed for Part 2? That would've kept the costs for a third movie down when WB exercised the sequel clause. Then add in Todd Phillips' payday, then that's $60M-$65M just to get them on. Then add in shooting, paying new cast members -- you have a comedy that costs $150M without P&A costs. That's high.

But since this franchise is bringing in the money, I guess WB can afford to spend a lot. At least Marvel Studios, Fox, Sony, Paramount, and WB's other franchises did a smart thing by drawing up multi-film contracts for most of their actors. At least that kept costs down whenever sequels are greenlit.

The press release for Hangover III leaves out Justin Bartha. *sigh* If I had say, Alan would be left out of H3's "mission" and Doug would be in.

I'm sure Bartha will be in the film. I'm ticked he was left on the sideline during the second film... but it was a good payday for him either way.

'HANGOVER' TRIO HEADED TO TIJUANA?

In March it was announced that the Wolfpack trio of Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis will return for a third installment of their blockbuster comedy franchise, The Hangover Part III. Now, it looks like they're headed south of the border. Makes sense…

An industry insider reveals to Life & Style that lot of the film will be shot in L.A., "but then they are going to do the crazy scenes in Las Vegas again and then one wild week in Tijuana."

Director Todd Phillips has said that the third film is "going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter we have planned. It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions."

No word yet on whether or not Justin Bartha will be part of the festivities – or sidelined again. Hasn't he earned his stripes by now?

The first Hangover saw the friends celebrating the upcoming marriage of Bartha's character in Las Vegas, only to find the Wolfpack retracing their outrageous steps from the night before in search of their missing friend. The Hangover Part II followed a similar course, only this time it was in Bangkok for the wedding of Ed Helms' character.

Production on The Hangover Part III is projected to begin in September.

Just a rumor

I hope Stu finally snaps and kills Alan in this one. That will be the only thing that would make it worth watching.

Would be ambitious and shocking if one of the 3 died lmfao. Why death would be involved...well why not? It's a Todd Philips movie, you never know.

how about having the 3 wake up in a prison somewhere or a foreign country

Tijuana eh? makes sense and could lead to some hilarious hijinks. hopefully we'll get news about filming and i just might try to make a stop at where they're filming :woot:

Tijuana? Danny Trejo will somehow be involved.

Danny Trejo is becoming a cliche. Has he ever played anything besides a Mexican gangster/thug or some variation?

That would be really Great! I can just imagine what happens to Stu in prison while he was drugged :D

He will get raped and/or mutilated. Maybe have a prison wedding. Then at the end of the film he'll make a self-righteous speech to some disapproving authority figure justifying his insane, destructive and selfish behavior.
