The Hangover

The Hangover is just as good as Tropic Thunder in my opinion, at least just as quotable. My buddy and I saw it and were pretty blown away by how much we were laughing.

I thought it was WAY funnier than Tropic Thunder. This is, without a doubt, the funniest movie that I've seen in years. It starts with a constant chuckle as they establish each character and then kicks it in to high gear. Perfectly structured and purely hilarious, this movie throws one outrageous situation after the other and you actually feel like you're the fourth (or fifth) member of this road trip. The photos over the closing credits had the audience I saw it with literally laughing all the way in to the parking lot leaving the film. As funny and as fun as a movie gets IMO.

9.5/10:up:

God, this movie was absolutely hilarious. Started a little slow, but once they start on their way to Vegas it really pics up.

It's got the vulgarity, and the rudeness you'd want from an R-rated comedy, it didn't let me down at all.

Galifianakis and Helms stole the show, so many great moments from them.

Like a lot of reviews have said, it's refreshing to see an r-rated comedy from someone outside of the Apatow crew, I'd even say it's funnier than the last few installments from the Apatow crew.

Loved every minute. 10/10.

I think when the summer is all said and done, this will be the best comedy of em all, even with Funny People coming out. I like the mentioning of Tropic Thunder in this thread, because when I was leaving the theater I was saying in my head "The Hangover and Tropic Thunder are the two best comedies I've seen in theaters"

Great stuff from everyone involved, EVERYONE.

And I love Ken Jeong, his little role in the movie was hilarious.

oh yes he stole the movie with "MF" word while in car window rolls up :hehe:

i just came back from the movie, and it was a really awesome movie (even though i had really crappy seats) the whole experience was surreal with laughter
for those that havent seen it, its like some funny bachelor party movie and the movie Memento :hehe:

it's really funny. one of the best end credits ever.

This Movie well theres 2 Words I need to say what I thought about this movie and that's Fricken Awesome. This movie was a lot of fun I really couldn't stop laughing. Very good Comedy and it surprised me because at 1st I did want to see it but I wasn't expecting much from it. It Exceeded my expections. 9/10

Dr. Ken Jeong is so underrated. He's the unofficial member of the Apatow gang, but he never gets any credit. He was the best thing in Role Models, as the King.

And he was in a minor role in The Office.

This is movie was so funny! It had a great story and some of the stuff just had me falling off my chair

9/10

Great movie.

2 questions:

How did they end up at Tyson's house in the first place?

How did the Asian guy end up NAKED? I know Phil kidnapped him but he took his clothes too?

Question, it's not one of thsoe films where they put the funniest parts in the trailer do they? Is there alot funnier stuff that they held back on that they didn't show in the trailers or tv spots?

no, not whatsoever (unless the Rob Riggle's "In Yo Face!, In Yo Face!" line) the trailer and tv spots are the "censored version of the movie"

Pretty much what Kane said, really only a taste of what was in the movie, you only see a few of the big laughs from the film.

This is probably one of the better marketed comedies, because really almost all the great parts weren't in the trailer, as opposed to the other movie I saw yesterday Land of the Lost, where all the good parts were in the trailer.

Loved the hell out of this movie.
One of the 2 best recent comedies (the other being Role Models).

yea his Knocked Up cameo was hysterical

The funniest comedy I've seen in years, I haven't laughed this much since Superbad. Good to see Todd Phillips back in the game, comedy sorely missed him man he's our generations Ivan Reitman.

Man this movie was great.

Easily the best R rated comedy in the past few years. For me, it might be my favorite R rated comedy ever.

The way they set things up is perfect. I was glad they decided to not go with any flashbacks of the actual events of the hangover, and have us find out what happened slowly as the characters on screen do. I can honestly say I don't think I've been hilariously surprised that many times in a movie ever. Definitely the best comedy of the year.

On a side note, our 9:45 showing sold out in my city, (I was literally the last ticket) and I was pretty surprised at that. Usually the only R-rated movies that get that big of a crowd are the big hyped up Action ones, like 300.

did you get good seats? i didnt, me and my friend had to sit in the front row in a small screen. @ first i was pissed but the movie made it up for me, thats how good the movie was

I'm impressed. the friday estimates for this movie is about $16.5 million. It even beat Up. I was expecting much lower for a R rated comedy...
