The Hangover

did you get good seats? i didnt, me and my friend had to sit in the front row in a small screen. @ first i was pissed but the movie made it up for me, thats how good the movie was

I had to sit in the very front row too, the screen's pretty big for an average movie theatre, but I never like sitting in the very front. But the movie more than made up for it with me too

With this film having such great reviews from everyone, I'm almost unsure if I'd want a sequel. I do because we'd get another bundle of laughs from this great ensemble cast or it could just be a dud and kill it.

A sequel is in the works.

yea the sequel is already in the works before this movie came out

I was honestly disappointed in this movie.

I'm a bit wary of that, simply because this is the kind of thing that, when you do it the first time, it's amazing, but when you do it again, it's just old news. You can't top the brilliance of this one. It will feel like they're just trying to copy a good thing.

I also hope they're not doing it with the same cast, because their stories were wrapped up in this one, and having them do it again would just seem redundant. Not only that, but it would take away from this movie. Part of the charm of this is slowly finding out the hilariously outrageous things they did while they were drunk. If they make another movie, we're already going to be expecting the outrageous things, which will lessen the impact of the comedy. Not to mention that it just feels a little far fetched that the same group of guys would end up doing another set of insane acts while drunk again.

I posted this someplace else.

Alright so this movie... really wasn't that funny. I expected to be laughing my ****ing ass off the whole movie, but I honestly was not. Most of the funny parts were **** that I saw in the trailer. Sure that Galikinafimother****er was funny, but Ed Helms wasn't anything special. I like Bradley Cooper though. The funniest guy in the movie was the Asian Doctor guy from Knocked Up. Mother****awkakwauwkwwukawukawuka! I felt frustrated after seeing this movie, because probably the funniest part was during the end credits when you actually saw what they did that night. Even the audience seemed to enjoy that part the most. So, why wouldn't they just make THAT the movie? I could care less seeing some hungover *****ebags running around asking "WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?! OMG WHAT THE **** HAPPENED?!" to everybody they see. The situations they had gotten into that were shown in the pictures were arguably more creative than what they were doing the whole movie. I don't know. I really need to see this again. But I wasn't too impressed. 6/10 right now.

I pretty much felt the exact opposite. I would have disliked the movie had they shown us everything they did during the night, because there have been hundreds of movies that show us all the crazy ***** guys do when they get drunk. I thought it was much more creative as we slowly pieced together everything that happened as the characters did, and made the laughs more surprising and enjoyable as more and more insane things happened to them.

*minor spoiler*

It was much more amusing to me to see the three guys waiting for their car at the hotel, and then be stunned as the bell hop drives up a cop car, then actually see them go and steal the cop car. We've seen things like that hundreds of times in movies, but we haven't seen the set up the way they put it.

Too bad you didn't enjoy it man, I loved it.

You didn't think the security camera footage was funny? I'm about to bust out some spoilerage.

I felt that watching some guys break into Mike Tyson's house, piss in his pool, watch Bradley Cooper dry-hump a tiger, looking at Galifianakis get blown in an elevator, and seeing their whole wedding album were funnier than most of the movie.

And also, was it not hilarious watching serious-face Galifianakis counting cards, with Bradley Cooper yelling curses and flicking off the security cameras during the whole thing? We could have been watching them do that all night! But alas...

I don't know, maybe it is just me. I think that "putting the pieces together" storyline is a great idea, but there just ended up being not much to do with that. It seemed like they just had better ideas as to what they actually did do that night. The baby, tiger, police car, and naked Asian in trunk scene were great ideas, but was there really anything more memorable than those things? Not in my opinion.

Oh I liked that part, but I was glad that was the only part they showed. As I said before, I've seen tons of movies where you watch drunk guys do crazy things. It's been done. This was fresh take on that.

And I thought there were tons of memorable events

The brother cutting his hand in the beginning after the "wolf" speech, getting tazered by the cops, the random song with the rooster, almost any scene with the brother actually... "Are you literally too stupid to insult?" ".....yes." or "I found a baby once." "Where?" "In a Coffee Bean." The black Doug, Mike Tyson, heck, that entire movie is filled with things I cracked up at

But to each his own I suppose.

how i see it is a Bachelor party meets the movie Memento

Except that in Memento we still got to see everything. In The Hangover, we were just told of things that happened, which sounded very funny, but we never got to actually see it with our eyes. I mean, flashbacks anyone? That would have made it better right there. They could have just made this alot better than it was.

this movie looks like all its best moments are in the trailer... along with The Proposal

because if you saw what exactly happen it would be a generic film of a bachelor party
we'll see if the sequel is about what exactly happen in that night

The night that they described was much funnier than any generic bachelor party movie I've ever seen. I don't see why they couldn't have just done that ****.

If the sequel is like that, I hope they make it quick. It would be weird if they look all different than they did in this one.

Good movie but not something I would make a sequel from.

I felt like I was part of the wolf pack, loved this.
Credits really were the icing on the cake.

one of the most hilarious movies ive ever seen...
oh my...the "ive never seen a more elegant creature" and humping the tiger scene had me rollin...the pictures from the night were the best ever...bleeding mouth with a pulled tooth really did it for me...and the bj :oldrazz:
10/10

Like I said above, I think flashbacks would have ruined it. Not seeing it, and not finding out everything made it more interesting. And I think their day after the hangover was just as crazy as what they did while drunk.

However, going on a sequel, like I said above, I just really don't think it's a good idea.

Tried to watch this opening night but the theater was packed. They even tacked on a midnight show to accommodate everyone. Ended up seeing Up instead.
