The Hangover

Well, he's already married so that wouldn't work, right? I don't remember them actually getting the marriage anulled, only Jade giving the ring back before the guys drove back.

Forgot about that.

THE HANGOVER

Usually a bachelor party consists of the groomsmen, and other buddies getting together for some drinking, cigars, and hiring some lovely ladies for in or out call services.Well take all of the aforementioned times 10 and turn it upside down, and you get The Hangover
In The Hangover, the day after a night of hijinks, the cool friend Bradley Cooper (Phil),the nerdy henpecked friend,Ed Helms(Stu),the beyond silly future brother-in-law Zach Galifianakis (Alan)have to figure where the groom Justin Bartha (Doug) is,why a tiger is in the bathroom, why a baby is in the closet, why Stu is missing a tooth, and why a fey chinese gangster/gambler wants to harm them physically.
The Hangover is laugh out loud funny for the most part,as the guys search for answers,it leads to more insanity and a lovely stripper Heather Graham (Jade) and Mike Tyson. The Hangover pushes the comedy envelope and some may balk at the child in peril scenes. The flick loses some steam towards the end,and we receive multiple endings, but by the time all is said and done i laughed so hard, the faults i found were minor.
Scale of 1-10 an 8

The events surrounding Tyson's role were funny, I didn't find much what he said to be particularly hilarious

That's exactly how i saw it. Tyson himself wasn't particularly funny it was the circumstance surrounding everything.

I don't know , I thought the wedding was hilarious and the end credits were crazier than the movie itself.

I seen this movie yesterday bro and it was fricking insane. I'll prolly go see it again this friday, since nothing else is coming out that weekend.

So many laughs in this movie.

yea, there nothing coming out this week, i wish T4 would of debut this week instead of the week of night of museum 2, it would of made more $$$$$

I'll be surprised if this doesn't remain number one this weekend.

Next weekend though, it gets interesting. That's when Year One (an Apatow Production) is released.

As much as I love Paul Rudd, I'm getting pretty tired of the Appatow crew movies. They all have the same sense of humor and style, for the most part.
This was a hilarious movie, and a breath of fresh air.

I want to see more comedies from this Director.

I was expecting The Hangover to have an Old School feel/vibe since he also made that film but it was totally different. Can't wait to see what he does next.

As for Apatow, I'm only getting burnt out on Seth Rogen, he really needs to change up his style because doing the same or similar thing over and over is getting old. I really want to see Rudd and Segel in more stuff though. Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You, Man were full of win.

Very true, I especially loved ILY,M
Yeah, I love Segel as well, and those 2 together were awesome.
But yeah, I love Todd Phillips! Haha he looked so freaky in this movie.

How would the sequel be set up?

Ed Helms' character getting married?

Well, he's already married so that wouldn't work, right? I don't remember them actually getting the marriage anulled, only Jade giving the ring back before the guys drove back.

Stu might want to have an actual formal wedding instead of a drunken Vegas ceremony.

A sequel would have to have a different plot so it doesn't come off like a rehash of Hangover. IOW, the guys can't go for a night on the town, get wasted, and have to solve the mystery of what happened that evening. Maybe they could go on vacation together with their wives/girlfriends and something crazy could happen. Just a thought.

Random thought: I want to see Alan get with Melissa. I loved how he hit on her in the end. :funny:

saw it ... was ok
not many laugh out loud moments for me but it was still damn entertaining.

6.5 out of 10

a sequel would be ******ed

Sucked on Amy Smart's toes in Road Trip
Orgy participant in Old School
Going to town on some girl in The Hangover

he's had himself some odd, but funny cameos

There is infact a sequel in the works.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1411697/

Not sure I dig it.

They contracted the actors because last time when the director made Old School they wanted to make a sequel but Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrel had blown up and were too expensive. So I dont think theres concrete plans for a sequel just a "just in case" clause.

The movie was awesome. 8/10. Betting on it being the best comedy of the year.

So far, one of the tops of the year. Judd Apatow's third directed film Funny People comes out later this summer, so were have too see if thats true then.

But so far the years best comedies are The Hangover And I love you, man.

I'm not a big fan of college-type humor...but just wondering what kinds of jokes are in it? Are they the typical sex jokes and over-done pot jokes? Or are they doing something more original?

Who did Phillips play in The Hangover? I totally forgot he also directed Road Trip.

There wasn't really any pot jokes from what I can remember but there is a good amount of sex related humor. This is film doesn't have college-type humor...at least in my opinion. What you may consider college-type humor I might not agree with. Frankly there is some crazy **** in this movie though.

The guy in the elevator with the girl before they go to the roof

That's right!

No pot jokes I remember, but roofie jokes that were fantastic. Few sex jokes. Lots of cussing. But the timing and delivery are the strong points rather than the content of the jokes IMO
