No offense, but if people werent so obsessed with the **** he did and apologized for months ago, he wouldnt need to make a song like "Power" in the first place. Hell, maybe we could've gotten a song with "College Dropout" type social commentary instead.

First off, I'm wondering who would be offended by what you wrote...?

Power is cool to me...just be glad he's not trying (and failing) to sing anymore.

BTW... Kanye's song, Power, has one of the gayest lyrics I've ever heard in my life:

I'm gonna assume you know what he was really saying, heh heh. But just in case, check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBkYdUgl3-M I'd say Cam, Biggie and DJ Quik have Kanye beat easily in the gay lyric department.

Its the hype...people get offended over the silliest things. Just covering my bases, really.

Honestly, "Power" is the type of song he needed to make. Frankly, the response to the Taylor Swift incident was overblown, and I'm glad he went at SNL for their crappy jokes on the situation (especially with taylor lautner kicking the kanye-dummies head off...which is funny, cause he was on stage when it happened and didnt do a damn thing). Really, Kanye is one of the better mainstream acts going, and its a shame he needs to remind people of that.

This is off topic from Kanye - but I just read this article that posted two days ago on HipHopDx.com about artist retiring from rap - from older artist who do it for attention/sales to today's younger artist who do it with only one album out. It's a lengthy read, but it is a very solid article.

I agree wholeheartedly. How do you retire at age 22 or some ****? If it was just about the money, then I suppose so. But if you didn't get into it for the music and an outlet for what you had to say, I don't know what to tell you.

Anybody in here MC? I've been looking to collaborate with someone for a while now, and I've got a truckload of beats waiting.

I'm going to start listening to christain rap because I'm sick and tired of rappers rapping about nothing.

I previewed some christian rap and it reminded me a Tupac, true renegade rap with a purpose.

I'm not overtly religious either, it's just that I'm hungry for hip hop that is fighting for something important. Underground hip hop used to fill that space but now it's just repetitive and directionless. The chistain rappers rap like their souls are depending on it. It's refreshing and it's not corny like christain rock music. I was surprised how good it is.

I've always wanted to be freestyler. When I was blasting the Marshall Mathers LP daily and religiously, I used to freestyle somewhat back then.

I've been writing verses for a while, but I don't have beats or any way to record anything (some people I know do great **** with just their laptop mics, but I can't get it to sound even remotely okay; I don't know a thing about recording). When I move up to New York next week, I should be hitting the studio, if not immediately then within a month. Definitely trying to get some **** rolling.

I'll probably be working a lot with my cousin and his boys. This is a demo one of his boys just put out.

EDIT: The video doesn't appear to be working. I don't know if it's me misusing the tags or what, but here's the link just in case: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=py4sg2-DG9c

I confess I need a bit of cussing in my rap. Not constant, but something to just make you take notice that they're pissed about something.
