I think its because the metalic-looking stuff he's wearing has a gold-ish shine to them. I would honestly say the same thing but I'm holding out that this is a prototype suit before the GG2 costume comes out.

I agree with you on the prototype suit idea. I can understand Raimi not wanting to use the same exact suit but I feel that the Goblin mask should be similar to the first mask.

I hope and pray it's a prototype suit. If I was a supervillain and I came around dressed like that no one would take me seriously. They'd be like "Where'd you come from? The Alps?"

*This is the same post that I made in the Green Goblin 2 costume thread, but I thought it would be better suited here.*

I don't know if this is the right thread for this, but I have a cousin who is an officer of the NYPD and he was one of the officers blocking off the road for a Spider-Man 3 shooting. While he was there he was able to talk to one of the crew members and she said that the three villains are Venom, Sandman, and Hobgoblin. The filming was going on on Pine St. and was pretty much a camera shooting while suspended in air by a cable. (cgi Spidey is going to be put in these shots later)
