The Hype Coloring Book

He just looks downright pi*$$#d! The way the lightning is executed gives it a very violent appearence. Nice.

Ok CC, time for some new pics. I am jonesing to see what you have for us next. Although I have a few of my own that would be cool, but this thread is your baby.

Seriously, someone has to put up a wallpaper-sized one for EdRyder to get his very talented mitts on. I have to have his work on my desktop!

By singling out EdRyder in the above post I'm not in any way wishing to dismiss the efforts of all the others posting on here. This thread is a recent discovery of mine, and really shows that there are some damn talented people on these here boards. I take my hat off to all of you.

Thanks man I appreciate that.I have a ton of semi completed hi res colors in my own thread...Thats my problem ,I never finish anything! I like the little ones for practice. The bigger they are, the longer it takes and I lose intrest.

Ah, I'm with you there. The amount of unfinished scripts I have lying around could start a frigging library.

I searched around a bit for your thread but couldn't find it. Is it on a different site, or am I just stunningly unobservant?

nice job Zumi. I thought the Bats/Joker one might get a lot of play since the viral is so popular

ATTN: photoshop proficient posters;
i need help. i'm working on something and i'm trying to get a "washed out" look, could you recommend a way to put it off?

in a spoiler tag to not mess up the thread

the effect i'm trying to achieve is in the eye blacks mostly

I decided to give Colossus a shot, but then I realized I had no effing clue on how to draw his metal skin. So I grabbed the Gradient tool, set it to Angle, picked a few shades of grey, and went bat**** crazy with it. :hoboj:

On the plus side, I'm at least happy with how I handled Colossus' costume.

nice job guys

manic, you hit the nail on the head. that's exactly the reason i posted the colossus (besides the fact that he's awesome). i wanted to see how people would do the metallic effect

I really like your Batman/Joker, Ring Deacon. The colors are simple, but they really seem the be the perfect colors. Just spot on.

I thought I'd try shading more than I usually do this time around. I really dislike white lines over black space since I'm never sure what to do with them.

I think I really could to with some good tutorials on effective lighting techniques. Anyone know of any good ones?

^ Thats damn pretty
Ive posted a bunch of different tut links here and there in this thread.

Whipped up my own little danger room ;)
I think after all these years Colossus needs a costume intervention,. Someone needs to sit em down and let him know how bad it is..:(

way to take it to the next level Ed!

I think its about time we have some more line art.

especially seeing how this thread has been pushed down to the bottom of the page.
