So Reek cast me as Thoros who is basically a former boozer turned hero for the brotherhood without banners and PR cast me as a cop who had a drinking problem but turned it around and was apparently a coward and racist. I think I'm seeing a pattern here

To be fair, Gharty was never really a racist, he was perhaps unfairly accused as such for refusing to enter a building with a bad rep in a black neighbourhood alone, without backup. As for cowardice, his story was one of redemption slowly as he became a member of the homicide squad, even getting to grab the brass ring as lieutenant.

Also, apparently he's the one who snagged Billie Lou in the end, so there's that.
