Petere Gallagher Rumor debunked by IESB.

UPDATE #1: Talked to Gallagher's agent's office over at CAA. I was informed that I, "need to speak to Peter's publicist." When asked if they could even comment about it at all, or give a "no comment" response, they refused and said simply, "You need to talk with his publicist." So we are following up with his publicist and are waiting for a call back, check back for further updates!
Update #2: Gallagher's publicist just gave us a call with another quick update, so what did she have to say? That the story is not accurate. He has not yet read for a role and as far as she knows no casting has been done for the film.

Opposed to the bad Marvel actors like Eric Bana, Kelsey Grammer, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Tobey Maquire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe, Wesley Snipes, Sam Elliot, the FF cast, Robert Downey Jr, Terrence Howard, Jon Favreau, etc...

Marvel's never really had any bad actors except maybe Afflek in there films. Elektra was just a bad movie but Garner is a good actress.

If not as I've been saying everywhere I would love to see Marvel throw some money at Johnny Depp! He would fit the Marvel comics version of Bruce Banner so well! Great actor, great facial expressions... I could picture him wide-eyed with the glasses and lab coat exploding into a HULK transformation! He was rumored for the first one too and liked the idea not too mention it would give the film a bigger audience.

The casting thread sort of assumes they won't be back and if they're not...then who would you choose. Just to see everyone's ideas.

The Matthew Modine casting is interesting. I wonder who the hell he's gonna be. My first guess is Doc Sampson but at the same time dye his hair and he could conceivably play Banner. A familiar face but not a huge star which is a good thing. How old is he??? I remember his little outburst in Transporter 2 but I never heard his name on the list to portray Banner from any source before. The last thing Louis publicly said was they were close to casting Banner and then the rest of the roles would follow suit and be announced...or something along those lines. Could he be Ross??? Is he too "bookish" looking...that's what they were looking for in Banner. I'm confused. LOL

We'll know soon enough who he is once he signs the dotted line. Listen in on Marvel Studios analyst conference this Thursday for potential news on this.

I never remember Modine being memorable or consisting of any type of depth in a character he's played... Not that I can actual remember any character he has played, just remember him constantly smiling.

But, just a pity that he is a little to old for the role of Banner..

Hmmm. No news last night and no update at the conference this morning though it was very informative. I'm holding onto hopes we're gonna still hear something this week with all the casting activity we've been hearing lately. I have a suspician Banner is already cast and they're just wrapping up the other major roles to make a big annoucement.

what was said in the conference?... i getting really pissed that there hasnt been ANY casting for this movie.

^ From all the info we've heard lately it seems like Modine is Bana, and Brody is Blonsky actually it could go either way however Brody makes more sense as the lead. That's my best guess if those 2 actors are indeed involved. In the conference they mentioned the Hulk movie 3 times but said nothing about casting. They went into great detail about Iron Man and why they're filming in LA and the quality of actors chosen, and why they chose Favreau...not much on Hulk. Release date still remains the same. Keep the faith maybe tomorrow.

Does anyone have a pic of Blonsky before trasnformation. I was reading about him more and it says extreme cold pretty much puts him in a coma like state.

god i hope Modine isnt Banner, that would really piss me off, if Bana isnt coming back then get Brody to be Bruce, he would be great for that role IMO

This is getting ridiculous IMO, 99% of movie have their most of their cast and crew in place sooner than 2 months before shooting, yet TIH only has 2/3 crew and no cast members!

I prefer Modine as Banner... more than Brody. Sorry, but similarity comes first for me.
But my FIRST choice will be Eric Bana. Forever.

OK, especially if we're talking about a movie franchise that will be going 2 or 3 parts (hopefully) makes it even harder to understand Modine being Banner??? Or Brody, good actor, doesn't fit the part. I'd rather Louis announce a no name then either of them in the lead...
