Mantlo deserves his own Hulk visionaries, the Banner Hulk and the Crossroads arcs.
Amen

I would say they have and it belongs to Kevin Feige.I was watching the featurette again.....and noticed at the very beginning they showed the cover to one of my favorite Hulk comics, TIH issue #393. This book features an analysis detailing the psychology of Banner, and what he and all the Hulks represent. This was mint.
I wonder if the producers of this movie read the issue?

Hell, even John Byrne has one coming out in July.
Yikes. Will that be followed by the "Hulk Visionaries: Bruce Jones" and "Hulk's Greatest Defeats featuring Joe Casey's snake, Batman, Spider-Man's truck, and Cain Marko in street clothes"?

You didn't like John Byrne's first run? I didn't care that he had Hulk punch a deer but he did some interesting things.
I used to be a John Byrne fan. Then I was unfortunate to interact with him online on some Hulk BBoards around 98 when he was doing his 2nd Hulk run (y'know, where he repeated the same story for 4 issues), noted my criticism, and he pretty much told me to go F myself, and I was mobbed by his trollish followers who attacked anyone who said ANYTHING negative about the guys work.

I feel your pain as I know John can be an ass wipe. After I graduated from Art and Design in NY, I asked for a recommendation letter to work for Marvel as a penciler. Byrne was giving some speech on working for Marvel and was rude to alot of people wo didnt ask the write questions or challenged him on his work. I enjoyed his work back during his x-men rand aplha flight run which was some of his best work. I did not like his writing which is his weakness. At his peak artist wise, Chris Claremont was the writer and Terry Austin was the inker. As a trio, they were amazing. On his own, he lacked real substance and was redundant which explains part of your experience with his work.He really, really rubbed me the wrong way. I was actually inspired by his writing and art growing up, and I heard things about him before, but the way he came after me and other Hulk fan's who we're just tired after 3 issues of the same damn story, was really pi$$y. We we're not being jerks, we just wanted to know if the story was going to move along at that point.
This happened on the Alvero and marvel bulletin boards ages ago. I think some of you may have posted there around that time as well.
