Sometimes you can't look at R&H's or ILM's previous work and expect it to be the same. Because studios use different teams on different jobs. But I'm sure R&H have probably used the whole team for TIH because this is the big one for them. This is'nt Garfield!

Well, don't knock Garfield part 1 too much. It wasn't the best movie, but I do commend them for making a semi-believeable Garfield, even if the eyes kind of took you out of it.

Ha Ha, wonder if Garfield had a CGI thread, I can imagine a similar scenario to these boards, with all the scooby doo fans hating on Garfields CGI.

Garfield shouldn't even be discussed in here alongside the Hulk. At least Hulk looks like it'll be a good movie.

Don't be dissin Garfield, girl. :cmad:

Oh, I was just being kind to that movie. You really don't want to hear what I really feel about it. There are not enough words in the English language to describe my hatred of that alleged movie.

I own both the first seasons of The Incredible Hulk TV show on DVD and have been watching them recently in preparation for the new movie. As much as I love the show, there's no way people would buy a real person painted in green as the Hulk nowadays without being laughed out of town. CGI is the only way to go.

That said, I think the CGI in this previews looks fine. By the time you get in the theater and (hopefully) get enthralled by the story, the CGI shouldn't even be in your mind. You should just be enjoying watching the Hulk smash things.

Sorry to hear about your Mom, but I think she will be scratching her head at the end of this movie. Can you say a 60 year old running the rafters getting shot at (not a scratch by any bullet), hiding in a fridge during a nuclear blast and living after being sent a mile or two, falling down three, not one, but three water falls and living, not to mention not losing the artifact, vine swinging only Tarzan could've been proud of, carnivour ants ala the Mummy beetles, cliched greedy traitor getting entombed, flying debris doesnt hit Indy, Gophers and more gophers and did I mention ****in ALIENS!!!! Will never beat Iron Man. Ang Lee is responsible for hurting the Hulk , But I believe it will do well enough. Hellboy II looked good.

Yes yes I know you didn't like it, but you have to understand me and her... we share the same taste, and I know she'll love it just like I did. I am sorry you couldn't enjoy it. The only thing that bugged me outside of CGI is Shia, and it's not that he's a bad actor, it's that he's hollywood's golden boy and shows up in EVERYTHING lately.

We've seen Iron Man twice (3 for me.) and she sure as heck plans to see Indy 4 3 times, and I wouldn't mind going 4 so she can do that. Though just like Iron Man I think I'd have the dialouge memorized by then! :wow::oldrazz:

Between multiple viewings of Hulk, Iron Man, and Indy I really wonder how much will be left over for summer flicks! At least I know TDK and Hellboy will only be one timers for me.

sorry about your mom, frost

Thanks, she'll hopefully get out today or tomorrow. She probably wants to go straight from the hospital to Indy LOL :oldrazz: I just hope they finally find out whats wrong so she doesn't end up in there again.

just saw the new clip and I am so sorry to say that the animation looked good until the close up came in. It was atrocious. The CGI is under par compared to Ang's and I am very disappointed that we have gone backwards in technological growth on that part. it was horrific.

The clip was real cool, but the CGI is very bad. Even Gollum being several years old murders it.

Ya'll said wait till we see it in motion and complete...I did...Bad

I agre, I love the Hulk, can´t wait for this movie, and the action on the clips is great (I especially liked the one with Hulk protecting Betty), but I still thing that the CGI is not great... there are some serious issues with the Hulk anatomy

That's to do with the design, not the quality of the CGI.

remember hulk isnt human so he has a kind of inhuman anatomy.

There is no single thing redeaming about the CGI at all

well, the CGI model itself (its desing and construction) is part of the CGI

Sorry, the way you worded your post it sounded like the were directly connecting the render quality and the anatomy.

Oh No actually I think NOW the render looks great... but there are some things about Hulk arms and chest that really bug me

Everything bugs me. There will never be a scene in this movie as convincing as the part in 2003 when he busted out of the containment chamber with water splashing off him and him screaming in a human like manner. 2003 is FACTUALLY far superior.
