^The Spider-Man movies did not get it right.

It was more like Spider-dork.

Spiderman movies for me were some predictable formula based on many other previous hits and fabricated to attract people and children.

I loved Spiderman 2 though, but the first one was so-so for me and SM3 was simply bad.

IMO what the spider-man films lacked was the cockiness of the character, Toby just always came across as this quiet, shy guy, we never saw the confidence of the character, well we did in 3 but that was because of the suit.

Spider-Man 1 was a great movie to me, Spider-Man 2 isn't a favorite but it was still good and is the best movie of the franchise, no matter what anyone thinks, & Spider-Man 3 is my favorite of the franchise.

It was just the nerd charicature funny enough to attract people's liking. And in 3 he was straight an a**.

Exactly. There was no wit in this Parker, there were no jokes, no snappy one liners, and although that may not matter to some people his light hearted alter-ego was the perfect counter balance to Pete's obviously crappy life.

I'm no movie buff, so I can only speak to my enjoyment level not their quality as films.

First was amazing for me, Second was so-so as I felt it was to much... Peter Parker the movie, with cameo appearances by Spider-man and Doc Ock.

Third... I went in with super low expectations, so I enjoyed it more than I would have had I really been excited for it.

This is the most realistic anything I've seen!

Obi-Ron, are you nuts? This was 1977 for Gawd's sake! What's the comparison about?

And no: the CGI in this present Hulk feature is lame, and I hope we get something much improved next time. :oldrazz:

The point is, trailers traditionally have special effects that are greatly improved by the time the movie is released, CGI or not. Duh.

I have yet to see even the first Hellboy movie, I didn't know if I'd like it & I keep missing it whenever it aired on TV but one day I'll see the movie.

be sure to tell your daughters the shots are unfinished.

i merely stated a fact. my son thinks the trailer looked shoody. thats awesome that your kids liked it, although the middle child may be too young for the movie, my son was unimpressed. i guess that is what happens when you raise a child to be fluent in pop culture like superheroes and superhero movies. i guess he's jaded. i will admit he is smart as a whip and not much escapes him.

he says the hulk moved like a cartoon, edward norton looked fake when he fell out of the plane, and the abomination looked "really fake". he loves the design of abom, btw, he just thinks it looks like not great effects.

i would like to remind everyone that the shots are clearly not 100% yet so why is everyone so suprised that they dont look 100% and some are simply addressing that?

[miller]"what are you all ******ed?

are you dense?

the shots are goddammned unfinished!" [/miller]

I probably shouldn't have used the phrase jaded, or not when first addressing the issue, nor would I use sophisticated or not. More grown up for his age I'd say.

But for good ol' Frostbite... I guess I am fixated on never growing up, never growing mature. If I ever mature do me a favor and put a gun to my head! My current day friends are still so weird that given the opportunity we might just go right back into a park and throw pokeballs around this summer! :oldrazz:

I've raised children all of my life of all different ages. (Watching them for separate family members.) Love the little buggers can't wait to have my own someday.

Surely. But the comparison is just absurd.

AND I doubt they will correct Hulk's face and muscles and colour. I guess they meant exactly that.

And, frankly, Abomination looks like a ripoff that MegaHyde from LoEG. :meanie:

Judging from what I've seen so far, the new Hulk looks more like The Rock or something. He's too slim. Like a washboard stomach or something when his gut should just be massive muscle.

Are you talking about the Rock as in Dwayne Johnson or someone else? As for the abs, they look great, they're much better than the abs on Ang Lee's Hulk.

Ang Lee had several mistakes in his movie: Bana as Banner (too strong and big); the changes to update the story; that muatgenic creep (Hulk's daddy); a too big Hulk and sometimes his dandy face.

The new one was right on the money when got Norton for Banner. Great casting. The green-eye effect from the series, perfect.

BUT Hulk's new CGI design is too bad. Really slim, without a strong face (different from the more classic look in Lee's, when he's angry); and this dirty colour; AND Abomination coming from LoEG.

They should have taken this opportunity to make strong and classic stuff, but the FX team seems to be recicling recent tricks. I felt like that: "so obvious choices, nothing remotely surprising".

That's bad. :o

It's... the Hulk, what did you want to surprise you about his appearance? Blue?!

Also, if you weren't expecting the slimmer choice which you don't like... congrats, you were surprised. Whether for good or bad.

Right now I'm now sure what to make of the new Hulk. I guess need to reserve judgement until I see him in action. Right now I think hes a little to dark shade of green. Like someone said a little slim, and also he looked too ripped? I think just going by trailer he looked to ripped, but maybe thats just because of the shade of green?
Far as the size of the new hulk, again I will wait and see. I did'nt mind Ang Lee's hulk far as size, maybe he was a tad too big overall(height/width). Though I thought he needed to be a tad darker green, but not as dark as the new hulk is now...What I liked about AL hulk is that facially it looked a little like Bana in some regards.

:woot::woot::woot: Yes, I was surprised.

I meant a good suprise when said it was such a lame choice of usual thing in CGI.

And I wanted them to surprise me with a great depiction of Hulk, to make me forget Ang Lee's only decent version.

But it was worse than that. Visually wise.

Other than the Abomination, who's bigger than the Hulk, we really don't have a reference point to go by size wise.

And as far as Hulk's physique is concerned, his muscle definition is supposed to be superior, ripped and shredded.

Other than the Abomination, Madman is bigger than the Hulk as well as Bi-Beast and a few others who I can't seem to think of right now.

Speaking of the Wendigo, I think he'd be someone interesting for us to see on the big screen. He's a badass.
