but ang's hulk just looks better integrated into his environment. meaning, it's better cgi. letterier's looks like a big plastic toy, even though the cg model they're using is great, and very well detailed, ang's is just better detailed, and just, for lack of a better description, 'fits'.

I see the complete opposite.

the design of the new hulk is definitely better...

Agreed. I'll say the ang lee hulk is higher quality cgi, but it boils down to the animation and so far the animation in the new hulk looks more cartoony. I mean just look at its breasts pop when its arms move. doesn't look natural.

You guys are forgetting just how cartoony they animated the Hulk in Ang's movie. That was always the complaint: they should have used motion capture instead of animating it themselves. It was like Tex Avery.

I think this looks impressive:

Hey, what is DOOMSDAY doing in the hulk movie?

Well, all the idiots got to me so I'll try to slap some sense. To those saying the CGI sucks and Ang's Hulk is better, here is a visual comparison:

Which is better? You decide! If you decide wrong and say Ang's is better, then go back to watching Ang's Hulk, X3, Spidey 3, Catwoman, and whatever else you like.

The new Hulk design looks better.

But when it's moving... looks fake and digital. :(
So the pics doesn't help that much.

Ang's Hulk is an insecure monster. Leterrier's Hulk is a heroic beast. Ang's Hulk is made of green play-doh. Leterrier's Hulk is gamma powered flesh.

Both are made of CGI and it shows in both cases.

Ang's Hulk was heroic too.

To remind why this movie needs to be made:

Because Hulk had expressions other than rage?

Btw, the 'idiots' was uncalled for and flaming. Avoid such gratuitous insulting, you shouldn't need that to make your points.

Good comparison photos. The new Hulk definitely looks downright angrier. That's the rage he needs to have imo.
I respect Ang Lee for what he tried to do. But 2003's cgi limitations plus making us wait too long to actually see the Hulk in his Hulk movie forced this reboot and i couldn't be happier about this new movie but Ang's Hulk did show some incredible pathos and i felt his pain even though i sat there wishing for a better movie.

I'm actually having a hard time with the comparison because that is my favorite picture of ang's hulk. The ang hulk in that picture I think looks more real, but Louis' Hulk looks much cooler and more ripped and more pissed!

they should have had the same company and same personnel doing the cgi on this that did the cgi on the original hulk, but with the different design.

I think the CGI of Ang Lee Hulk looks more "realistic", the new hulk looks better regarding body proportions, but it looks rubbery/plastic but I´m sure it will look better in the movie

BTW I see a little of Lou Ferrigno in this hulk face

Yeah I admit there were some herky jerky moments though ang's hulk looked more like a living thing while the new one looks like a wax statue. Sorry it just does. Maybe they'll fix it?

I thought they did do Mo-cap. I remember the doc on the DVD of Ang wearing the suit and doing all of the Hulk's movement...did I miss something?

I have always been very impressed with the 2003 Hulk CGI. I will admit there were some spots here and there that looked off, but I felt for the majority it was pretty amazing work.

I really enjoyed this trailer, but need to see some more of Hulk moving around to judge completely. That shot of him pissed and walking towards Abom he looked almost too rubbery to me---like his muscles, etc. weren't moving the way they should with natural steps.

His overall design though kicks A$$. Really looking forward to seeing this film.

I hope they will improve the CGI.

The shininess makes sense to me. I interpret it as sweat, so more realistic to a living creature.

Looks better than the comic version. Was never a fan.

Yeah, I agree I think this desing is better than the one in the comics, I was never a fan of the Abomination (to me it is basically an evil Hulk, that for some reason looks like a sea monster?????)

But when I saw it in motion my mind went straight to DOOMSDAY... and how it will look in a live action movie

the new hulk looks like... Leterriers and Nortons!

BTW... did they change the hulks face desing from the first released pic?

He's slimmed up a bit and gotten a bit more tanned.

Hulk looks great. Ang's Hulk was okay, this Hulk kicks its ass though.

This is a great poll. To be honest, I think they ended up making him look like the best amalgamation of the comics and the original TV series possible. Whoever said they could actually see a bit of Lou Ferrigno in there was dead on! I love the throwback to the old TV series when they're showing Bruce's eyes turning green, while the top and bottom of his face is banded with shadow. That's the type of reverence and attention to detail that makes a comic book movie great.

I just can't wait to see this movie. It really feels like they're taking it seriously and do care about its roots... unlike the blasé attitudes taken with Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, Spider-man 3 and (to be perfectly honest) Ang Lee's Hulk. To me, it felt like the directors of those movies had their own visions that conflicted with the source material, or were just plain bored. You know, it seems like Leterrier and Norton are actually psyched about making a great HULK movie.

couldn't of said it better myself man. :bh:

I don't know, the entire film feels confined in a way. To me, at least.

The eyes turning green while he's in the shadows was my favorite part of the trailer. I love when Bill Bixby's banner would turn into the hulk, with that sound effect and the zoom towards his eyes happening at the same time. I love it.
