Re: the color: There was simply too much blue in the green for Ang Lee's Hulk. It's a subtle thing, but a simple change of shade there (adding more yellow to the mix rather than blue, as is the case with the new hue) would have made that version look a little better.

That being said, the problems with design itself would have remained, and Ang Lee should not have done the motion-capture (what he was thinking there I do not know).

I still don't think it's going to be that color, it's going to be a new shade of green. That color looks almost exactly like 2003's Hulk's color.

Nice work. I prefer the original pic.

Do you think you can show what the new Hulk would look like in sunlight?

Well sunlight is different all around the world ie: Ireland has a clear light, good for painting etc. I would assume American sunlight has a tad more yellow in it, so I'll give it a shot.

Hey, who do you guys think would win between 2003's Hulk or 2008's Hulk or is it still too early to ask this question?

Might be worth asking this in the script thread. The guys who have read that earlier draft should have a good idea.

Nah, I don't want to spoil the movie for myself. I already feel as if I know too much about it as it is.

Okay, so it is very difficult to add light to something without personally changing the colours, so I had to add actual lights to the background to see the effects. ANything else would be cheating and wouldn't give an accurate colour.

I posted this in the manips thread, but here's an accurate look at what sort of green Hulk will be. All I did was remove the orange caused by the flames, no new green was added:

This isn't accurate. You can't just go into Levels and drop the red down and expect that to show you what the green will look like. That is actually changing the colors of the entire image. The only way to possibly get a good indication is to find somewhere on the body that isn't affected by the coloring of the flames and alter the rest of the skin to match that color gamut.

The best place I've found that isn't affected by the flames is in his left (our right) trapezius and neck area. I've matched the rest of his body to the gamut in that area and this is what I got:

Yours is on the left, mine on the right.

And we can see straight off which is more accurate since the director said he was green, not grey. You can't just select one spot and assupe he all looks like that, plus every plart of him is effected by the flames. That is what is lighting him, the entire environment is effected by it, not just parts of him.

Shouldn't we all be satisfied that he is 100% positively, without a doubt, the combination of blue and yellow that is green?

i dont think the fire is everywhere. when he is running . or the scene that is behind him when he is running.

actually
In the script it says numerous times he is a gray/green creature, sometimes people not even being able to tell if he is green or gray

He does not look bulky enough, he still does not look big enough from what we see.
The chest could be bigger and the shoulders but they are not. Maybe I am used to the comics or Ang lees version, he just looks like he needs bulking up which I hope he does when he rages.

Ang's hulk looks young and vibrant, probably still sexy to the ladies. New hulk looks old like a dried up prune or gum you'd find on the car mat.

He looks small compared to Abomb, who is like 12-15ft tall and supposed to be initially stronger than hulk. Compared to a normal person he looks huge, both height and muscle wise, that part where he flexes he is massive.

I think modern bodybuilders look more bulky, but obviously not as tall, I don't know something seems odd in this one, his back looks good as like the comics.

Scripts change. And from most recent quotes, this one has. And I'm glad it has. Grey hulk and green hulk are two seperate monsters, I hope they keep it that way.

Still looks like a mix of green and grey when he flexes though, I don't think they've changed that, he'll be green with a greyish shade to it.

I wish he were completely grey for this franchise but we're getting yet another green Hulk. It's still possible for a completely Grey Hulk in the next movie.
