Did anyone even watch the 3-minute clip of Bruce's transformation in Sterns' lab that was shown on Sci-Fi earlier tonight???

I'm surprised no one's said anything when there was a thread about it like a week ago...

I loved the CGI there. That was simply awesome.
Daaang musta missed it :csad:

heres a side by side comparison of 03 hulk to 08

I changed the channel when I saw his eyes starting to glow green. Gotta save something for the movie !

Having seen the new movie, it's my opinion that Ang Lee's version of Hulk is better both in terms of design and in CGI quality.

I haven't seen the movie yet. but the trailers alone are enough to convince me that TIH is better in both design and cgi. Hulk 03 was abysmal.

While I too think the design and cgi is better on the new hulk, the '03 hulk wasn't abysmal, design wise it wasn't right, just wasn't the hulk but the cgi was great.

I wonder if you'll feel that way after you watch the new movie.

I mean, its years later, and Ang's is still better. In my opinion.

The design was terrible. The CG was definitely good at times, but when it was bad, it was really, really bad.

The CG in the new movie would have to be drastically terrible to change my mind. As far as i'm concerned the brief glimpses in the trailers have already beaten hulk 03.

No need to worry about the cgi in the new film, plenty of people are reporting that we haven't even see the best in the trailers/clips/tv spots.

The desert scenes of Hulk in '03 were abysmal?

Was it necessary to reply to my same post, twice? I had already stated that in my opinion some sequences in hulk 03 were well done, but when the cg was bad, it was really bad. Infact i'm going to go ahead and make up a word for it. Terribad.

The CGI in those desert scenes weren't all that bad, but the scenes lacked the Hulk action a lot of fans were asking for. From what I've read and heard, the Hulk is supposed to be recklessly violent. In the '03 version, he didn't really hurt any of the soldiers and even made sure they got to safety before destroying their tanks.

Technically the Hulk in '03 was much better, the skin looked more like skin, muscles flexed more appropriately, it actually looked like skin over fat over tendons over muscle over bone.

For design and even animation, from the trailers I'd say '08 is better, too bad ILM couldn't have ran with the '08 design and made it technically better.

That was Lee trying to keep hulk a good guy but imo it got a bit ridiculous. Hulk was smashing up copters, throwing stuff about, chucking a tank with people inside a mile and no one even had a scratch, it was silly imo (btw I say this as someone who actually loved '03 hulk).

I didn't think the CGI or scenes were terrible, but they needed improvement (and a better villain than Nolte, 'cause he killed it for me).

This Hulk moves so much better than Ang's. He actually fights tooth and nail, shows fatigue and resurgence of strength,. If I can think of any recent CG character he was similar too, probably Kong. The final Fight is equel to the T-Rex fight. And he has as much character as Kong. Except Hulk talks.

the desert scenes were good and imo when he goes to betty's right before the dog fight, but the transformation in the water tube was not good at all

I've seen the movie and it is definitely better than the 03 version. THis was an incredible movie, excitement from start to finish.

Taking out the CGI debate, when you are making a movie about a large green Hulking creature, it should not bore you. THere were many spots in the first movie that just dragged on too much.

Agree totally, most of the cgi in this film is flawless IMO.

After reading through most of the reviews, I fail to understand how the cgi can both be great and terrible at the same time? Almost all negative reviews have the obligatory "looks like a video game" joke somewhere. On the flipside, alot of the positive reviews say its very good, which one is it people? I plan to catch it tonight so that I can judge for myself, but I suspect just as people bashed Ang's cgi only to praise it years later (some people that is) I think this new Hulk will look just fine, and maybe down the road, will get its just desserts
