So I just came across an article today and realized I've had enough. After reading the article, and a few weeks ago hearing about the British girls who dressed up like the Twin Towers 9/11 attack for Halloween I want this thread to raise awareness of all the insensitive crap people do.

This is not to be a happy thread, but a thread to open peoples eyes. Hopefully it can change one persons views or stop someone from being as stupid as the people posted here.

I'll start off with the article I just read.

Okay, that first Indians one was completely wrong and offensive. But come on, you've got to respect the level of research that went into that. Most racists don't make the effort to use historical references, you got to give it props.

It's probably something they heard from TLC while waiting for honey boo boo to come on.

That's a very scary thought, racists are becoming smart....my God.....

Why is it now acceptable to call women by the same term as female dogs?

I like to watch sitcoms and the other night I was watching "How I Met Your Mother". Now, supposedly this series is a man telling his children how he met their mother. So, why would he even pass on the fact that one of his friends would walk into the room and say "There's my b......" - 3 times in that one episode I got to hear that word.

For me, that word is not acceptable and I hope it never will be.

I just wish sitcoms would drop derogatory terms like that so I could enjoy them more.

There, my rant for the day.

But is it encouraged by the local government in NY?
