The Interview- Rogen and Franco Try to Assassinate Kim Jong Un

This was pretty funny i think..something i havent seen discussed yet is the effects, they are pretty damn good, the helicopter scene is better than a lot of scenes in superhero films.

Unfortunately the controversy was far more entertaining than the film. James Franco and Seth Rogen didn't bounce off each other like they have in the past. Franco had some great chemistry with Randall Park. Rogen just seemed out of place.

Jokes were unfunny and predicable. I did chuckle at some lines like 'The tiger has night vision goggles.'

Plus the cinematography is pretty great.

I was really shocked at how good the cinematography was in some of the scenes during this film.

I mentioned it a couple pages back. I thought that was some really good cinematography. Some of my favorite shots of this year. Even the shot with the tank driving as the helicopter crashes was pretty cool
I do think some of those shots did go on for a bit too long though

The Interview. It was ok. Not as funny as I expected. I can imagine all the people seeing a Rogen comedy film for the first time must assume all these guys do is tell dick jokes. Which was funny to an extent but I wish they skewered North Korea a bit more. I saw this at the only theater in Rhode Island screening the film (and I won a free poster). All the controversy surrounding the movie makes it a better experience. Still worth checking out , it definitely has its moments.

Slightly off topic but was i the only one that thought Franco would make a great joker whilst watching this?

For me the film got good once Kim Jong Un(Randall Park), showed up, and stole the show as far as I was concerned. I also think I've got a bit of a crush on Sook. She was sooo cute. I'd say stream it from Un's arrival on, and its pretty good everything before it is rubbish really. I give it a 7/10.

Yeah, Park (never saw him in anything before this) did a really good job.

He made Kim likable, silly, and scary all at the same time.

I was hoping they had evolved beyond the overblown action stuff towards the ends of their movies. I thought the interview itself should have been the big set piece to finish the film. Not injected with the violent random action bits during it.

Do people still believe the North Korean threats were a hoax to promote the film?

It was ok, i mean its top 5 for sure in there comedy library but nothing to get this much attention over.

It was pretty funny. I liked it but found some parts to just be a bit stupid really. Good to watch if bored lol :p

This thing is gonna make a killing on DVD/Blu.

I wont buy it first day. Maybe a couple years down the line when it's cheaper

Maybe he can help Rodman go through with it this time.

I liked the movie quite a bit. I had very low expectations for it but I laughed quite a bit and enjoyed the entire movie.

I swear Rogen, Franco, Goldman or Sterling came across an article of Rodman talking about North Korea and that's what inspired The Interview.
