The JLBats Diary: The College Years

Ahhh, college...that time in a person's life when they can be in a relationship, yet because they're "in college" sleeping with other peeps is justified. What a time to be alive.

I wouldn't say it's justified, moreso that there are so many other heathens around that no one cares

So come to find out our suitemate has been lying about my roommate to a whole bunch of people. I asked my roommate if she was going to talk to her about and she said no and she ain't got nothing to say to her but if she wants to be fake then so will she. So yesterday I saw them in the lounge on a laptop together laughing about something. This feels like high school all over again.

I've appreciated that there's very, very little of that here so far.
Mostly just messed up things happen to the amusement of all.
And I made an ass of myself in front of an AUDITORIUM full of people yesterday,
most of whom are in my program, quickly alienating myself once again.

You're lucky, my floor is crazy. Chick across the hall got arrested because she and her ex-boyfriend got into a physical fight and they tried to blame it on rough sex. Needless to say they were drunk. She claims she's going to file a restraining order but he's ALWAYS at the dorm wtf!

Girl down the hall from be is preggers. And this chicks down the hall from me always get drunk on the weekends and pass out on the elevator or somewhere in lobby.

Well, the drunkenness is standard, but everybody's generally pretty cool regardless.

That's quite messed up. My dorm building got a bad reputation from last year's freshman class but it doesn't compare to that.

So Saturday night I come into the room at 3:00am. Roommate is never in the dorm on the weekends but this weekend she is. My roommate has a male guest no big problem. There fooling around under the covers, still no biggie. I know for a fact she knows I'm in she lifts her head up and looks right at me as I put up my stuff and grab my pjs. I go get ready for bed in the bathroom, I'm in the bathroom for a good 20 minutes taking a shower and changing. More than enough time to finish whatever they're doing. I come out of the bathroom all is quiet. Climb into bed and I hear them moving around and kissing sounds. I leave, letting the door slam and going to sleep in a friend's room.

I'm not saying I'm mad she's having sex in the room even if it's not exactly what they were doing. But not when I'm trying to sleep! It's freaking 3:00am, I came in the room to sleep! She could of called me and told me she was going to hook-up with someone! I wouldn't have been pissed off because then I wouldn't have to walk into it.

The next day as she's leaving to go to someone's house she's says they we're just kissing! She said I could of stayed in the room. But really I wouldn't, it's weird. So anyway I tell her if you're going to be hooking up with someone let me know, before I'm going to bed with you whoever in the room.

this happened to me during my first 2 years at college. My freshman year was particularly bad. My roomate brought three friends along (2 guys and 1 girl) for the weekend to watch a football game. They stayed in our cramped dorm room (on the floor). During the night, one of the guys and the girl decided to have sex on the floor about 5 feet away from me. I could hear their moaning! The other 2 guys (the other guy and my roomate) snored all through the night. So I was up all night hearing the moaning and snoring.

The only thing I ever have to deal with of that sort is when I can hear it through the walls, but my unic Canadian floormates don't seem to ever get any so I'm safe from that too.

yeah I've had a single room now for the past 2 years. I have my own bathroom too! It's great. Plus, my floor is really quiet. It's like I'm living in an apartment building.

I don't get it, how come you guys have to share rooms in the states?
That'd never happen over here - but the rooms we get are generally tiny, and the walls are pretty thin, and the bed frames all squeak - so if you're getting it on people generally know - plus i'm a screamer so that generally gives the game away....

With "hooking up" I'm guessing it's not the same guy each time, which is good for you in a way, because unless she's some enormous ****, it won't be happening that often...

Living on campus is awesome - i feel bad though - cause I'm getting old and studying law i can't go party as much as i use to
There are so many people at my uni studying ******** easy degrees who literally never study and still pass, mainly people studying sports management... no one ever seems to click onto the fact that most people that manage sports teams don't have degrees in the subject, plus
there aren't even that many jobs in the area....

Update:

I'm pretty sure the roommate is preganate. Overheard a phone coversation and she like threw up in her hand the other morning. I think she's in the room crying now.
