I apologize if this has been answered in a thread before or has a thread of its own, but I used the search and couldn't find it.

Anyway here goes :

I know DC has been making a point of Batman finding out the Joker's true identity in the media.

What was the outcome of it? Did he truly discover it?
Or did DC screw us over only to further shroud it in mystery?

I haven't read it myself, but apparently
there's three Jokers. The old school 40's Joker, the Killing Joke Joker, and the New 52 Joker.

So so stupid.

That's the most painfully uncreative idea I have heard.
So the World's best detective never could figure out there were 3 different men he was fighting?

I assume this will be a relatively temporary thing, brought on by the universe altering events of Convergence/Flashpoint/whatever else. That a
couple of Joker's
have just slipped through the cracks... And since I've never seen it before and as I say, I assume to be temporary, I like it. I'll give it a chance.

Well, i n the least, I hope its a vague answer due to multiple history lines that does reveal some better clue down the road.

Simplicity in comics has seemed to have died; it has to be overdone these days it seems.

Maybe if DC is clever enough they answered Batman in the form of a riddle. Saying there are 3 Jokers may be true but 1 person having 3 personalities.
