wow i went to see scott pilgrim yesterday.. and i had a really loud crowd.

they(everyone) immediatly burst into laughter when the "from the mind of m night shyamalan" title came up on the Devil trailer...

i feel so bad for the guy who actually is the director of Devil...

that was the biggest marketing fail of the year imo

im personally still recovering from both Dragonball and TLA being such a failure in every way... i dont think ill ever be watching the dragonball cartoon ever again. Though technically speaking Dragonball was more of a boxoffice success than TLA.. cause i know not even 30mil went into that crap. TLA is almost breaking even... they need a DVD release miracle.

i personally didnt hate it as much as everyone else did.. sorta like X3 (but worse). Still not as horrid and unwatchable as dragonball though... i felt like a ****e watching that.

Yeah, she did/does, everyone in the biz knew who she was after she won that Oscar and had that famous moment on stage accepting it. Her career has been more than fine, and if there was some script she liked, her involvemnet would immediately get backers interested, that is star power, it's just of varying degrees.

But the Oscar was the power that probably got her the gig in X-Men, which in turn probably led to the True Blood role, so everything about her career can be traced back to the Oscar.
I am not sure, but she maybe took some time off to go to school etc, after the Oscar, so if she had not won that, and had that famous moment on stage, no-one would have remembered her/known who she was, and she may not have got the subsequent roles she did, so it does carry power.

Haha that's awesome. When the hell is M. Night Shamwowlan finally going to be exiled from Hollywood? His movies have gotten progressively worse since "The Village" and people are tired of his ****.

Speaking of Scott Pilgrim, why is it that they were able to so effectively cram a 6 volume graphic novel series into a single movie and still tell the story effectively and without over rushing it, and yet with The Last Airbender they failed? Everything was in place for M. Night to make a good movie, except for M. Night himself.

I'm making a list of movies that succeeded where M. Night's Airbender failed, and Scott Pilgrim made the list as soon as I saw it. Also on the list are Lord of the Rings (Duh), Serenity, Watchmen, and the Harry Potter movies.

Is there any word on if they'll release one huge box set of the series in Blu Ray? Or even if they'll release separate volumes in Blu Ray. I thought they would when this was released, but they didnt
