The Last Voyage of Demeter (a different Dracula adaptation)

Love the news so far, hopefully Viggo accepts and yes, him being Dracula would be da s**t.

Is it too much to ask that they don't screw this up?

This is a very ****ing cool idea.

Thank God. This idea is too good to die. Wish Neil Marshall was still making it though.

It lives...

'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark' Filmmaker Tackling Horror Thriller 'Last Voyage of the Demeter' (Exclusive)

Demeter was the name of the ship that transported Dracula from Transylvania to London in Bram Stoker's classic tale. In that 1897 novel, the ship washes up on the shores of England, tattered and broken, with one raving-mad survivor.

I know this is nothing more than nit-picking, but didn't every member of the crew die before it reached London? I know the Captain wasn't killed or driven to suicide, but he was dead by the time the ship came in.

I wonder if they're gonna make Javier Botet look more like Nosferatu.

Dastmalchian really is establishing himself as an icon of nerd cinema.

Yeah, this Dracula will definitely portrayed as more of a monster. This is such a great idea, I'm glad it's finally happening.

Man, I need to see Javier Botet and Doug Jones together in a movie.

Again.

Wow. A year and a half away? They just wrapped principal.

Is 2022 really that crowded that they had to dump it in January of 2023?

This is such a bummer. I thought this had potential to be a break-through genre film with the awards season. But January releases almost always get forgotten.

Yeah, dumping a movie in January usually isn’t a good sign.
