I like the use of the magic versus science trope and the science fair was an interesting setting I don't think I've seen used much. Morgan le Fay is an interesting addition and it was nice to see Alicia Witt show up. Interesting development about Jenkins being much older than he appears.
Episode 8 "And the Heart of Darkness"
I generally enjoy haunted house stories and this was done fairly well. Katie being the evil entity was an interesting twist. I liked that Cassandra was the one to step up and save everyone. Nice references to the Star Trek transporter and the TARDIS.
Season 1 was OK.
I like Christian Kane on ANGEL and LEVERAGE but his character here did nothing for me.
The Aussie-Asian guy was very annoying and unlikeable.
Romijin was Blah!
Liddy Booth was the only one I enjoyed watching. Very Perky and Likeable.
I liked all the characters although I do think they can all be improved on, though Ezekiel (the Aus-sian)is a bit annoying at times. Christian Kane is basically just his same guy from Leverage but with more intelligence. Cassandra (Lindy) is pretty likable and Rebecca is surprisingly a better character than I was expecting. She's not as stereotyped as you'd think, though she and Flynn (Noah) hit it off a little too quickly and easily IMO.
If this turns out to be the only season then they wrapped it up nicely and if they do a season two it can move on from there as well. I like they didn't stick it in some absurd cliffhanger ending.
It's a very fun show that has real threats but doesn't take itself seriously either. Sometimes you just need that in your action tv. Like every other action show from the late 90s on WGN.
I'v always enjoyed the idea of a bunch of adventurous librarians. Love the original movies with Noah Wiley, have enjoyed the "Ninja Librarians" books by Jen Swan Downey, and am enjoying the series. Hell, i've even used a librarian/adventuress on a role playing game that I referee ! All hail The Librarians !
